In March, we went to the hotel's pizzeria with a group of 12 people on a Saturday evening. We had reserved a table in the winter garden for 8 p.m. and had this confirmed 2 days before. When we arrived 5 minutes after 8 p.m., the winter garden was completely full. We were told that another group had pretended to be us (all Italians, purely by chance) and that was just the way it was. Three tables were quickly prepared for us in the front part and the drama began. The restaurant was completely full and there was another group of 30 people in the next room. After a quarter of an hour, our drink orders were taken and another quarter of an hour later, everyone had something to drink. Another half an hour passed before we could order our food and we were told that unfortunately there was only dough for 5 pizzas and if you didn't really need pizza, you should choose something else... In the last hour, a number of takeaway pizza orders have been placed over the counter, which are apparently more important than orders from potential guests in the restaurant. Two salads that we ordered were actually brought after an unbelievable 45 minutes and after a lot of requests. We waited a full two hours for the main courses from the time they arrived. If we had had a chance with 12 people on a Saturday evening without a reservation, we would definitely have left. At least the first round of drinks was on the house when we paid, but we probably won't be seen here again. We will definitely order pizzas again, because they are delicious, inexpensive and you know you will get them.
