This was the first placed we stayed when we arrived into Sri Lanka, after reading the good reviews we had high expectations and this guest house lived up to them. Arriving late from our flight we were welcomed with a cold drink and shown to our room. So clean and spacious and a really good shower! The host was so helpful in letting us know all about the buses into Negombo and on to Kandy. He couldn’t have been more helpful. I Would recommend this place to anyone :)

1. The hotel is in a very remote place, it can be said to be in the wilderness. I can’t go to the airport until 7 o’clock in the evening, but the hotel check-out is at 12 o’clock. I immediately told the front desk that I broke a small plate because of the flies. She asked the waiter to come and see it, but they did not do anything to deal with the flies and mosquitoes. I was given a ticket to compensate for the loss. 3 Because of the remote location, I had to eat at the hotel. There were many dishes to choose from, but they all had to add a 10% service charge. The seafood in the seafood fried rice I ordered was two shrimp tails, about 1.5cm in size. I called the waiter and it took me a long time to find them. 4 Wi-Fi is basically unreachable. Even if I barely connect, I can’t open web pages or apps. 5 In the evening and early morning, there are sounds of unknown animals. You can choose this if you want to sleep hard. 6 I didn’t sleep well all night, and I was bitten by at least ten mosquitoes all over my body. There were ants on the bed, spiders on the wall, and all kinds of original ecological cuteness can be seen everywhere.

Stayed here for a week, I think I really like this hotel. Because it is a decision after comparing Trip.com and booking. The housekeeper Saman is very good. When I arrived late at night, I needed to contact him. He would drive a Tuktuk car to the gate to help me with my luggage. They will also care about the movement of the guests and remind me to pay attention to safety late at night. The room was very clean, with a kettle and mineral water, and the air conditioning was very good. There was no mention of hot water in the room, in fact hot water was provided, but you may need to bring your own slippers and toothpaste toothbrush. Please take a closer look if you come to Negombo. I booked two rooms, but when they arrived, they were connected to a suite separated by a door. The surroundings are relatively remote. Breakfast is 3 US dollars per person, but the quality is very good. We originally spent the night in Negombo, and the elephant orphanage the next day, in fact, there is really no need to waste money in the elephant orphanage. Because I only used Ctrip to watch, I feel that Negombo has no good hotels at all. In fact, there are many good hotels here! There are many delicious gourmet shops. The owners are just the most adorable. I was a solo female traveller and they looked after me like parents. So sweet. Small but clean rooms. Loved the art decor. Bright and cheery. Cosy. Small swimming pool. Loved the pets too. Nice set breakfast, freshly cooked and served to you. Really short and simple straight walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. I went on a boat cruise one evening and the owners checked to see that the company was legitimate. On two separate evenings, they reserved me lovely tables at restaurants and made sure I had good service. They got up early when I left to help with my luggage and to see me off. Support small businesses. Absolutely lovely.
