"We stayed here after landing in Sri Lanka. It was a 15 minute drive from the airport. The rooms are large and clean. It is a new 4 room B&B The host is welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We stayed two days before we headed on to our next destination. Breakfast was on the top floor and full of wonderful Sri Lankan fare. Solid wi-if and a small fridge."

"The design of this low-end hotel by the sea in Negombo is very low-end. There are three rooms on the first floor with direct access to the beach lawn. The sea breeze and the beach are calm and comfortable. There are shy squirrels and black cranes walking and hatching eggs. The room has ingenious visual and practical designs, which is suitable for lying down and soaking in the hotel. Dinner at Bluetan Restaurant is 100rmb per person, the taste is good, and the lobster is fresh. The waiter is gentle and the check-in is a little slow for 40 minutes. The mosaic of the swimming pool is a little peeling, which is easy to scratch your feet"

"The shower water pressure was too low, neither hot nor cold, and the location was very remote. The room was a mess when I opened the door. It was extremely poor value for money and didn't live up to the booking for a deluxe triple bed. I was speechless that there was also a sofa bed inside the triple bed."

"The Jetwing resort was the best we stayed in whilst in Sri Lanka. Relaxed atmosphere, 100 metre pool, lots of loungers, great food and staff. Staying in the villa with a private pool on the beach however was something special. Loads of room, super clean and to top it off a private butler. Mahinda could not have been better. Nothing was too much trouble he was super attentive whilst being discreet staying in a room downstairs. He prepared meals in the villa, bought drinks and was there for any advice. We enjoyed speaking to him about Sri Lanka generally and it really gave a different dimension to the holiday. Helpful he’s a lovely guy. Crazily good value. for money. Highly recommended."
Tropical Terrace Negombo
"Location: Easy to find, navigation was accurate. Service: Family-run guesthouse. The owner is American and kindly moved our car to make room for us, worried we wouldn't be able to park. Facilities: Swimming pool, the kids played there for a while. Room: There was a drying rack! We washed several days' worth of clothes. Meals: This was our second-to-last night in Sri Lanka. We left early the next morning to return the car, so we didn't order breakfast. Two shortcomings: The blankets didn't have covers, leading to reasonable suspicion that they hadn't been changed. In short, my usually thick-skinned companion complained of intense itching, and even someone from northern China who can go two days without changing clothes insisted on changing out of their T-shirt after getting up. The kids, even in short sleeves, scratched themselves until they were red. I didn't feel itchy at all while wearing long sleeves and pants. The price of 400 was inflated."
