The property is in the heart of the Ribeira District facing the Douro River. The view from the room and balcony were exceptional. The room had a small kitchenette with a sink, hot plates, refrigerator, dishes and utensils. Breakfast items (ham & cheese slices) were in the refrigerator along with yogurt, milk and orange juice boxes. Fresh fruit and cereal were on the countertop. Fresh baked bread were left on the outside door knob early every morning. We stayed in a 2-bedroom duplex. The second bedroom was located on the second floor accessed by very steep stairs (almost like a ladder). Unfortunately, the bathroom was located on the second floor as well making it a bit inconvenient. The rooms were spacious and clean. Note that there is NO lift. Our rooms were located at the very top of the building and you had to navigate several levels of stairs. Beware if you have heavy luggage. This is really the only downside but it could be a deal breaker for elderly or physically challenged guests. Best way to communicate directly with the host is via WhatsApp.
