"Having afternoon tea with a view was an absolute delight, boasting a stunning sea vista! The half-mountain view was breathtaking; I could see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake right from my bed. At sunset, the entire 'orange sea' stretched out before the window – even just staring at it felt blissful. The room design was simple yet luxurious, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and a sea-view bathtub creating an amazing ambiance. The KingKoil mattress made for an exceptionally sound sleep, and details like L'Occitane toiletries and smart devices were perfectly thought out, making it clean and comfortable. The butler service was top-notch, offering attentive guidance from check-in to itinerary suggestions. They were quick to respond but never intrusive, allowing for a truly relaxed experience. Public areas like the 'Sky Mirror' and infinity pool were perfect for amazing photos. Breakfast was rich and delicious, and afternoon tea was incredibly soothing. It's a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, conveniently located, allowing you to escape the noise while still easily experiencing local life. Next time I visit Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again to let the wind and light of Erhai Lake wash away all my fatigue."

"We chose this hotel for its prime location in the ancient town near the East Gate. Check-in w/ Xiaoyang was smooth and we got a room on the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Given the dry climate, adding lotion would be a thoughtful touch. The hotel also provides a helpful map of the old town with sightseeing suggestions when requested. Wi-Fi was adequate and breakfast (8–10 am on the 4th floor) had a limited but acceptable selection. Daily housekeeping was consistent, replenishing water and essentials. The bed was comfortable overall. However, sound insulation is poor, you can clearly hear hallway noise and neighboring rooms. Although rooms are non-smoking, guests can smoke on nearby patio areas, which may be an issue for those sensitive to cigarette odor. The advertised outdoor swimming pool is more decorative than functional. We appreciated Xiaotian for accommodating a late checkout after a restless night from neighbors' noise. Overall, a decent stay by local standards, though clearly geared toward domestic travelers with no English support on signage and verbal communication. It would be difficult for non Mandarin speaking guests as translation apps aren't ideal per my husband's input."

"Excellent! I highly recommend staying here. The owners are incredibly welcoming and the environment is beautiful. You can even see Cangshan Mountain from upstairs! It's very close to the South Gate and quiet at night, perfect for sleeping. There are balconies on both the first and second floors where you can relax and sunbathe. Plus, there's a swimming pool!"

"This absolutely deserves a 5️⃣-star plus rating! I only stayed one night because I was in Dali for two days, but I'll definitely choose it again next time. The location is great, very close to the airport and high-speed rail station, about 20 minutes away. Facilities: Excellent! They have everything – a projector, bathtub, a balcony with a prime sea view, a hairdryer, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find an iron too. The hairdryer is a Dyson, which was really good. Another even bigger surprise was that you don't need to bring clothes for travel photography; downstairs, they have Yi and Bai ethnic costumes, and long-sleeved dresses in various colors, even with trains, all perfect for photoshoots and all provided for free. Cleanliness: Very clean. The butler, restaurant staff, and cleaning aunties not only provide excellent service and have great attitudes but also work meticulously and keep everything spotless. Environment: The owner has nurtured many beautiful flowers and succulents for 6-7 years. There's a lovely small garden, swings, a swimming pool, a piano, a rooftop afternoon tea area, and even a sailboat⛵️. On the day we checked in, we planned to go sightseeing, but we ended up taking photos at the hotel until 7:30 PM! The owner is very accommodating and even provided airport transfer services."

Lively streets, delicious eateries, and convenient supermarkets are all within easy reach. However, stepping into the hotel instantly transports you away from the hustle and bustle, leaving only the gentle gurgle of the courtyard stream and the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze. The panoramic rooftop terrace and the viewing platforms in each room are my personal hidden gems. —During the day, I watched the waves of Erhai Lake; in the evening, I waited for the sunset's blue hour; at night, I gazed up at the starry sky. Every photo I took here was stunning, no filter needed. ✨ Qiyun Room Type: A healing space to watch the sea from bed The design of the Qiyun room perfectly blends 'luxury' with 'relaxation'. - Absolutely stunning views: The large floor-to-ceiling window acts like a flowing painting. Waking up in the morning, I could watch the mist over Erhai Lake slowly dissipate without even getting out of bed. Even just zoning out became a pleasure. - Impeccable details: Soft music played from the Marshall speaker, and the bedding was so soft it felt like sinking into a cloud, instantly melting away the fatigue of a day's travel. The large bathtub faced the window, and soaking in a hot bath while watching the clouds drift by made time seem to slow down. The full set of L'Occitane toiletries and the automatic heated smart toilet – every detail showed thoughtful care, making for a reassuring and comfortable stay. 🤍 Service and Experience: A journey enveloped in warmth From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was touched by the attentive service. - The staff proactively helped with luggage and guided me through check-in, even carefully asking about my afternoon tea preferences. There was no need to rush itineraries or worry about trivial matters. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind and relax, or to capture stunning photos that will flood your social media, this is the perfect choice for Dali. "My aunt and I stayed at the Indigo Dali, and it was an excellent experience. A special thanks to the staff, who went above and beyond to help us recover a lost piece of jewelry with sentimental value. Their proactive and meticulous service was truly touching. The hotel room offered stunning views directly overlooking Erhai Lake, and the soundproofing was so good that my elder aunt slept very soundly. The dining experience was also thoughtful and made my aunt feel very well cared for. This stay truly made us feel the hotel's warmth and professionalism. My aunt is now a loyal fan, and we will definitely choose to stay here again."

"The room is clean, sanitary and well-lit. When I woke up in the morning, the sunlight shining into the room was very comfortable! The projection in the room is very clear. It's great to have a drink and watch your favorite movie at night! The location of the Sailing Boat B&B is great, the service is very friendly, the room is very cost-effective, you can see Cangshan Mountain at the door, there is a little snow recently, and it is a 3-minute walk to the Haixi Ecological Corridor. The scenery by the sea is also excellent. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby. It is great to relax and enjoy the scenery. I will come again. "The front desk staff, particularly Xiao Li, was incredibly helpful, assisting with my luggage all the way to my room. They even upgraded me to a slightly larger family suite. The hotel is conveniently located just across the street from the ancient city, and close to several nearby attractions. Overall, I was satisfied. The only minor drawback is the hotel's design, which features many stone steps (though there's an elevator, you still have to navigate some ups and downs on each floor). While it gives off a vintage vibe, it wasn't the most convenient for luggage, despite the hotel having ramps for suitcases."

"A very satisfying stay! The location was easy to find, right by Erhai Lake, and parking was convenient with EV charging stations available. The front desk staff had a great attitude, and the room was clean, tidy, and odorless. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, ample hot water, and a smart toilet. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options. It offers great value for money, and the overall experience was excellent. It's a great choice for both business trips and tourism. I'll definitely come again! I usually don't leave good reviews, so when I do, it means I was truly impressed."

"I rarely write reviews, but this hotel truly touched me. As an architect/interior designer, hotel design, aesthetics, and facilities have always been my top criteria when traveling. I've stayed in many hotels both domestically and internationally. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to book the newly built room type at Zuodu; the older section was just okay in terms of comfort. If you have the option, I definitely recommend choosing the new room types. The hotel is located right on the scenic coastal road. Its somewhat remote location makes it even quieter compared to S Bay, yet the surrounding scenery is still fantastic. What really made me want to check in here was their service. First, I chose two room types, and both included breakfast, plus daily afternoon tea options. The breakfast was quite rich, served buffet style, with Western, Cantonese, and rice noodle options. The restaurant environment is also excellent, with a great ambiance for photos both indoors and outdoors. Honestly, I've been to Dali many times, and hotels in this price range rarely offer breakfast, let alone afternoon tea. A cup of coffee costs 30-40 yuan, and you can order two per room, along with fruit and flower cakes. Besides the food, the hotel's other thoughtful services were also very impressive. This included shuttle service to and from the parking lot, and to and from the airport (we were a group of 5, 3 adults and 2 children, and the hotel provided a complimentary 7-seater shuttle from Longkan Pier, and the airport drop-off price was also upgraded from a 5-seater to a 7-seater for free). Bottled water in the hotel is unlimited and self-service. Instant coffee, tea bags, and steam eye masks are provided daily in the room, and none of them are off-brands. In the public restrooms, they thoughtfully provide sanitary pads and mouthwash, both of which are good brands. In short, whatever you requested, the front desk always responded and resolved it immediately. Upon checkout, they even gave us Pu'er tea cakes as a souvenir. I can truly say their service was exceptional. I will definitely choose Zuodu again next time I come to Dali."
