Good points Hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Good location about 15 mins walk to main restaurant/historical part, but there are some places for food closer. On paper the facilities look great, saunas, indoor pool, gym, etc. Bar for drinks cocktails etc Bad points There wasn't even water in the room, just 2 x glasses. When we enquired we were told we had to fetch some from the mini market? This was after a 4 hour journey in the heat. Unforgivable for not even having the basic necessities. Also when we asked for coffee we were told the same there are no facilities to make a drink in the room or get one at the hotel except at breakfast. The facilities were also very disappointing, the steam room out of service, the sauna also wasn't working and the pool was too cold for us to swim in without it being comfortable. It's a shame this hotel has let the facilities degrade as it could be a really nice place with a lot to offer. But unfortunately for us, not even having water available along with or the facility to buy a coffee or something from the hotel is unacceptable so we could not recommend

The location, at the foot of the upper part of the city, is excellent in itself, a little less so in terms of availability of public transport. It is an old building, once owned by some notable of the place, recently renovated. The rooms are large and bright, with bathroom, but no bidet. While the external soundproofing is good, the internal one, due to the wooden floors, makes a few too many creaks. The garage, free, is not the most comfortable, given the narrow spaces for maneuvering. Good breakfast. I did not use the other services (swimming pool, gym, etc.) The girl at the reception is polite and helpful. When we returned at 5 pm we had the unpleasant surprise of finding the room in the same condition in which we had left it, that is, with the bed to be made. Rating it 4 stars seems a little optimistic to me, I would say an excellent 3 stars.

Excellent hotel, very professional and attentive staff. I loved the breakfast and the SPA. I loved the idea that breakfast is already assembled and we just have to pick it up and take it to the table, there's a good variety without wasting anything. The rooms are cozy and the beds are very comfortable. We loved it.

We stayed for two nights, we didn't have hot water throughout our stay, in the middle of January we took a cold water shower and it wasn't resolved. The receptionists do not speak Portuguese, they speak Spanish. The bedroom curtain did not close completely and was broken on the wall. The sockets sparked every time we plugged in the chargers. Breakfast is not very varied and if you arrive at 9am there will be no replacement. The indoor pool was cold and dirty with hair and the showers didn't work, full of limescale and rust. The sauna and Turkish bath were turned off and when turned on they did not work, meaning we paid for this service and were unable to use it. The only good point is the great location and the fact that it has a parking lot, although it is very small, it can accommodate few cars. Experience not to be repeated.

In general, the hotel is good and has a very beautiful decoration, the rooms are as described and as the images show, beautiful and well maintained. The bed is nice and big (double bed). And the pool is also great for relaxing a bit. However we had a bad experience because we didn't have hot water in the room. The hotel didn't even apologize or refund anything. Unforeseen events happen of course, on a Saturday and Sunday there is no hot water for a guest to take a shower, it is unpleasant and we deserve at least an apology or some attention. That didn't exist on anyone's part. The several times we complained, they only told us that they were trying to resolve it. Nothing more.

Stayed here for 1 night. As soon as I arrived I asked for a room change because there was a hairpin and hair in the shower. They changed my room without any problems, but once we got in it was cold and we couldn't raise the temperature. Overall old style, but clean. The lady at the reception was very kind and turned on the sauna and Turkish bath just for us. Breakfast NOT up to par.
