Beautiful friendly place . Clean, rooms fragrant, cosy. Pools, bar, landscape like a fairy tale. Large selection of food . Everywhere close. Staff very helpful . And in particular Mrs. Konstantin. The smile it exudes and the desire to help are even indescribable . Such a person in the team is a treasure!

Azul Eco Hotel, Skaleta This holiday was advertised by Broadway Travel as all-inclusive at a newly refurbished 4-star hotel, and if you read the Owner/ Principles website blurb you would believe that it was the case (see hotels website). The reality was very far from that statement, or the advertisement and I would remove 2 of the hotel’s stars for a more accurate reflection. Azul Spa – 11th to 21st October 24 Let’s start with the positives: Staff The reception staff and housekeeping were helpful and pleasant. The hotel was clean and tidy and looked well maintained overall. The pool and areas were well maintained and had excellent quality sunbeds. The beach and beach bar were well maintained and had the same quality sunbeds and sunshades. Now the not so positive: Room The room, whilst comfortable, had no cupboards or drawers for clothes. There was an open space to hang clothes, with 2 small shelves underneath and an open box cabinet at the side. Fortunately, we had a spare bed in the room so that I could lay my clothes out there, otherwise we would have had to live out of the suitcase. As we arrived very late due to the flight time, the night porter, who was lovely and helpful, informed us that there was a snack in the fridge for us as we were late in. It turned out to be a tasteless cheese & ham roll, without and spread, which meant that it was stodgy and difficult to eat. And an apple! Coffee, tea and sugar supplied in the room was random and we had to buy a jar of coffee to make sure that we could have one first thing. However, no milk was provided at any time of the stay, so we had to purchase that too. I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel where milk has not been provided in the room and beverage supplies refreshed so adhoc. Dining Hall I’ve called it a dining hall as it in no way resembled a restaurant and looked more like a canteen! Breakfast, a strange mix of styles, was only served until 10:00. We’re on holiday for goodness’ sake! However, the food warmers were turned off at 09:45 and the toaster and coffee machines at 10:00 on the dot. The first thing to note was that the ‘butter’ was just like lard. It was so unpleasant and greasy that we had to buy our own and take it to breakfast with us each day. And no one commented! For the first few days there was honeydew & watermelon, apples and bananas available at breakfast. After a couple of days, it was just watermelon, apples and bananas, then a day later no melon at all but only apples and bananas! Even the Greek yogurt consistency was nothing like we have experienced in Greece before, so once again we bought our own from the shop next door as it was unpleasant and certainly not what we had expected! The scrambled egg was overcooked and over kept (one morning I saw a staff member adding olive oil to the dish to make it separate a bit), and the bacon and fried eggs were so over kept that they were like rubber. On one occasion, my wife noticed that the cloth used to cov

Definitely doesn't deserve 4 stars, food not tasty very plain. Animations for children do not exist In this hotel also forget about evening attractions for Adults. Drinks full of sugar with cheap alcohol. During the day your kid’s definitely became hungry because in the snack bar you will get only something what they call hotdogs in this hotel( plain roll with sausage, leftovers from breakfast) It's not worth to buy all inclusive plus, it only gives you a free plastic deckchair on a dirty beach. Plus for the slides, new and clean, but next to them the smell was awful like in the public toilets. Thanks to the nice waitress who recommended us a local tavern Ilios, thanks to her we weren't hungry and we tasted real Greek cuisine

The Azul eco hotel? A scam disguised as a 4-star hotel that perhaps deserves half a star, if we are generous. Their all-inclusive formula is a joke: anything above survival level is charged separately, even snacks, which are nothing but the stale scraps from breakfast. The food? We were guilty of believing it, but it was like an insult: if we hadn't had the decency to escape to local restaurants, we might have thought Greek cuisine was punishing. And the staff? As for the waiters, most of them were nonexistent, during the day they were on the phone, while in the evening they were busy stealing food from the buffet by sneaking it into their mouths with their hands, while the cook ate directly from the plate where the food was cooked. The location of the hotel is ridiculous: lost in a hole of nothingness, far from anything useful. And the beach? Do you think it's included? Fools, it will cost you that too. In short, Crete is a paradise, but this hotel is a catastrophic mistake that we would like to erase from our existence.

Small rooms, bathrooms not clean, all-inclusive food not tasty, drinks too sweet, noise in the corridors late at night. Your plate is taken from the table before you've finished eating. Absolutely not a hotel for 4****. In the swimming pools small children with props (balls, water mattresses, etc). I would not choose this hotel again. Disappointing.

I recommend this place, it is amazing! We have received a nice and clean room with a terrace where we have spend our evenings watching the sunset. It was so calm and lovely. The staff was always so nice, the food was good and various, we have ate the best veal, seafood and the pizza on greek pita bread was so delicious. We had a special "guest" visiting us, a cat that we have spent a lot of time with, we called her Greta from Creta, we already miss her. Azul you were amazing, thank you ❤️

As a family we have been coming to Crete for many years. I also like to write my reviews towards the end of our holiday whilst things are still fresh in our memory. Firstly, the Noho hotel is also known as Azul due to recently being taken over. And that probably accounts for so few reviews, along with the fact it is not a traditionally 'English catering' hotel'. There are.some English here, but not a lot. So any entertainment is directed to multicultural couples or Greek. Most of the staff have a decent level of English, particularly those in reception. All the staff have been hard working and attentive to our needs (which are few). Having been regular all inclusive patrons in Greece we know what to expect. And Azul is not much different. You do get a lot of value for your money. The food is of a decent all-inclusive standard with plenty of choice. Fresh fruit and salad every meal and a choice of meats, pasta and potatos. Drinks are locally produced alcohol (beer, wines and spirits) and they also make cocktails. After a few days you will notice a repetition in meals but this is standard for Greece. There is a 24 hour reception. Our flight was delayed so we arrived at 3.00am. No restaurants or bars open at that time but the hotel kindly left us a snack and bottles of water in room. There is also a supply of tea and coffee in room. Air conditioning is a blessing at night as is the fridge. The safe in each room is also free. The furniture and fittings are of a higher quality than previous ,3 star hotels we have stopped in. The showers are heaven. The rest of the room is minimalistic but pleasant. The pools are pleasant and not overly busy. A big plus here is the free slides. They are not used much but fun for both adults and kids. They are watched over by guard who unobtrusively makes sure you are following rules. But if you are used to Greece, you will know that things will never be perfect by our standards. Around the hotel on an evening time you do get a 'waft' of sewerage. But this is common in Greek hotels and not overpowering. The five star hotel opposite has the same issue. The hotel bars also ran out of wine and a 5 minute wait ends up being 2 hours. And a big issue this year is mosquitos. Not much the hotel could do about this one so it is down to you to bring protection. There are 2 shops within a minute walk from hotel which will cater for your needs. You will pay tourist prices here so if you are on a budget, pack it in your case. There is also a pleasant beach a couple of minutes walk. If you buy a drink at the beach bar, you can have free sunbeds. As we love swimming in the sea we really enjoyed this. We came to Scaleta last year so know the location. It is quiet with a couple of bars. There are nice stretches of beaches, nice hotels but otherwise very quiet. It is a place for relaxing as is Azul. But the buses are regular if you want to go to the bigger towns and cheap. But probably not the place for parties. Ideal for couples and f

Me and my family had a good experience with this hotel! The room was clean and modern, the staff cleaned the room every day. The staff from the reception was really frendly and helpful, they answer to all the question with a smile on their face. The food was good but we found some plates that wasn’t really good cleaned, but It wasn’t a lot of them, we found just 2 plates in a a week. Both pools are well maintained, the slides are perfect for the children but not only, we had a good time on them! Not a really good thing is that you have to cross the road to get to the beach, but there is an employee who drives you to the beach. Overall we had a good experience and we strongly recomand It!!
