Fantastic Location with an Amazing Acropolis View
We had a great stay at Electra Metropolis Hotel. The location is excellent—very convenient for exploring Athens and within easy reach of the main attractions.
The highlight has to be the rooftop bar, which offers an amazing view of the Acropolis, especially at night when it is beautifully illuminated. Definitely worth going up for a drink and enjoying the view!
The breakfast was also decent, with a good variety of choices, including plenty of different cooked eggs. Our room was a comfortable size and came with a bathtub, which was a nice bonus.
The only downside was the shower. The rain shower head had rather weak water pressure, while the handheld shower was positioned quite low, just above the bathtub, making it a little awkward to use.
Other than that, everything was great—the location, views, breakfast, room, and overall experience. We would happily stay here again when visiting Athens.From€234

Thanks to the hotel for upgrading me to a higher floor with a great view. The service was good, and so was breakfast. The room was a bit small, and the facilities were a little old. The rooftop pool and restaurant were fantastic and worth spending an afternoon there.
The 'Greek afternoon tea' consisted of a teabag, a pot of hot water with a biscuit, and a glass of iced water. I remembered the tea voucher when checking out and used it at the lobby bar. It was nice to charge my phone and have some tea.

The main reason we chose this hotel was its excellent location. While Athens is a sizable city, all the historical sites are concentrated around Syntagma Square.
Our hotel is nestled in an alley about 300 meters from Syntagma Square, just a ten-minute walk from where the 95x airport bus drops you off.
Besides Syntagma Square, it's less than a kilometer to major attractions like the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Plaka Old Town, Monastiraki Square, and Ermou Street, making them all easily accessible on foot. The National Archaeological Museum and Lycabettus Hill are a bit further away.
The hotel rooms aren't large, but ours had a sofa and a small balcony overlooking the street below. The cleanliness was also satisfactory.
Most hotels in Europe don't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers, so you'll need to bring your own. They also don't offer complimentary bottled water, which you'll have to buy from a supermarket outside.
We stayed for four days and grew quite comfortable with it. While the breakfast wasn't lavish, it was certainly enough to fill us up. There's also a popular bakery right at the entrance to the alley in front of the hotel.From€55

This is definately not a 5 star hotel. I can’t understand how it’s been given that ranking. The room was definitely not the same as the picture. The carpet in the room was old and faded. The decor looked like it was from when it was first built or updated, at least 30+ years ago. The bathroom in the executive room was worse than Butlins basic accommodation in the U.K., and that’s saying something. The yellow sofa in the grand reception area was tired and dirty. I definitely would never stay there again or recommend to anybody.
The majority of the staff were unfriendly. The waiters in the dining room never even looked at you. We had to go to them to request tea and coffee with our breakfast and it seemed like it was too much trouble for them.
We stayed in the hotel as part of a fully inclusive cruise booking. The cruise company Iglu cruises must have got a really good deal with them. The hotel was full of people on fully inclusive deals.

Finally stayed at the cliffside hotel of my dreams in Santorini – Fanari Villas! It's perched at the highest point of Oia's caldera, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire caldera and the deep blue Aegean Sea.
The room is an authentic volcanic cave suite, complete with gracefully curved white arches and stone flooring that exude Mediterranean romance. The entire suite was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom was dry and odor-free.
The hotel has its own sea-view restaurant, and the breakfast included was fresh and plentiful. Dining on the cliffside with such picturesque scenery was truly delightful.
The staff were incredibly gentle and attentive. They proactively helped with our luggage and were super responsive to any requests we had.

We’ve just returned from a truly perfect 9-night stay at Katikies Santorini and already wish we were back. From start to finish, everything was faultless. Sofia and the entire team were absolutely brilliant – genuinely warm, attentive without ever being overbearing, and always going the extra mile to make our stay special.
The hotel itself is immaculate, beautifully kept, and the views are simply incredible – one of those places that really does live up to the photos (if not exceed them). Waking up to that caldera view each morning never got old. Breakfast was absolutely amazing - one the best!
We also found that most guests tend to stay just a night or two and move on quite quickly. Having spent nine nights here, I’d honestly recommend staying at least a week, if not longer, to properly take it all in. It’s one of those places that isn’t meant to be rushed – the pace, the views, the atmosphere all deserve a bit more time. Being among the few guests staying longer really allowed us to appreciate it fully, and it made the whole experience feel that much more special.

There are steep stairs leading up to Dana, so they help you carry your luggage from the upper path. It was a very heavy carry, but thank you for helping!

Najveće iznenađenje bilo je to što je tokom našeg odmora na otoku puhao jak vjetar, ali u ovom hotelu to se gotovo nije osjetilo. Budući da je uvučen u brdo, pruža osjećaj ugodnog zaklona i mirnoće – što je na Santoriniju zaista neprocjenjivo.
Pogled iz hotela je nevjerojatan – toliko lijep da gotovo i nema potrebe odlaziti u grad. Dovoljno je provesti cijeli dan uz bazen, uživati u krajoliku i potpuno se opustiti.
Doručak je izvrstan, s dovoljno izbora za svačiji ukus, a posebna čar je što ga možete jesti uz očaravajući pogled na more i stijene. Sobe su uredne, čiste i opremljene svime što je potrebno, a posebno nas se dojmila pažnja osoblja – svake večeri dočekale su nas bočice vode i male čokoladice, a na početku smo dobili i bocu vina te zalogajčiće dobrodošlice. To su detalji koji čine razliku i daju osjećaj topline i brige za gosta.
Nažalost, iz privatnih razloga morali smo promijeniti smještaj i ostatak odmora provesti u drugom hotelu, no odmah smo shvatili koliko nam nedostaje San Antonio. Tamo smo imali mir, udobnost i zaštitu od vjetra, što se pokazalo kao velika prednost.

We only stayed one night to visit Delphi. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is conveniently located about 5-mins drive (15-20 min walk) from the Delphi museum and archaeological site. We booked a junior suite to accommodate our family of four and got the only room on the fourth floor which the kids loved because you need a key to take the lift directly up to the room so it feels like a private lift. There was a balcony with a nice view of the town and the sea and mountains in the distance. Only downside is that because the toilet is a bit small but fits a bathtub by the window, there is no separate shower area and you have to use the bathtub to bathe. But that was a minor inconvenience and the coziness of the place, warm staff and available parking outside the hotel makes it a great choice if you’re visiting Delphi.From€56

The veranda overlooking the Gulf of Corinth was breathtaking. The bed, bathroom, and room size were all satisfactory.
However, although they said 24-hour luggage storage was available, I arrived before 11:00 AM and the hotel reception was closed. I couldn't check in my luggage and had to carry my suitcase to the car, which was very unsettling.
The hotel doors opened at 2:30 PM. The path down to the underground parking lot was very narrow and steep, which was a bit scary, but the parking lot itself was spacious.
A welcome drink was brought to my room, which was apple juice.
There was no water provided in the room, so I had to buy it.
The hotel breakfast was discounted at 9 euros per person, but I didn't eat it.
The desk staff spoke English very quickly and profusely, and their pronunciation (Greek English?) was difficult to understand (though I'm not always good at it).

When we checked in they asked us a lot of questions about our preferences and they took care of it during our stay. Staff is very polite and give you very positive vibe which you need during your vacations. Breakfast , Location and service I'll give 5 stars. Trek the Samaria Gorge in May or October for pleasant weather and fewer crowds. The 10-mile hike begins at Xyloskalo, where sweeping views set the tone.
