Great hotel, clean, service staff with very good attitude. Breakfast was delivered to the room on the first day. There was also sweet soup in the evening. The rest of the days were buffets. Since we woke up very late every day, we didn't go to the buffet, but I felt that the buffet should be even better. It was really great to stay for four days. The morning breakfast service staff, 尹改利 and her teammates are happy in serving and awesome, making our 6.30am breakfast a great start for the day. Receptionists are really helpful and they are all speaking English. They suggest and introduce all Xi’an attractions to us during our checkin. Hotel is located at the South gate of city walls and the metro station is directly in front of the hotel. The room’s view is just perfect and you can enjoy the night view of the Xi’an city wall. The hotel and furnitures are a bit old but in general its okay and cleaning was nice. The only problem is there is no socket in the bathroom to use hair dryer, there was something look like a socket but the hair dryer didn’t run normally when we tried to use. We used the hair dryer next to bed, it is not a critical problem.

Arrived late (wee hours) due to my flight and upon arriving in the hotel, was met by a very rude security who does not allow our cab to alight us beside the hotel but rather a distance. Found out that the security does not work for the hotel. Upon check in, the staff was rather impatient as it was the wee hours but they did service recovery very quickly. Very clean rooms and staff was exceptionally friendly helping with the navigation, especially Wison, who was so patient.

The hotel is relatively new. Advertised name ”A-Tour” and actual hotel name is different, so hard to find on local DiDi app, or iphone map, but we worked it out eventually. Breakfast is half western with basic choices, coffee machine is a challenge and never not hot enough. Breakfast on the outside deck overlooking the wall was quite relaxing. Lots of shops around close, including Dairy Queen and several coffee shops just out the front, KFC, Pizza, Macca's and numerous good local restaurants within very a short walk. Rooms are big enough, comfortable and clean, the bed is soft, a big bonus to find in China in the budget range hotels. My opinion, it's a good choice as it's easy on the budget.
