Holiday Inn Express properties in Xiamen

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They upgraded my room upon check-in and, after my marathon, even extended my check-out until 3 PM when they saw I was injured. This made my fifth Xiamen Marathon trip feel incredibly warm and special. The room itself was excellent and very functional, with plenty of furniture to place luggage and small items, and even space in the bathroom for clothes. The shower gel and other amenities had a pleasant scent. Plus, it's less than 100 meters from the subway exit, which is super convenient.

Just 2 kilometers from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, this hotel boasts a large third-floor terrace with unobstructed sea views. Step out directly onto the seaside promenade, with Jimei University Town and Jimei Bridge right across the way. The front desk was very responsive to requests, and the staff in the first-floor breakfast area were incredibly friendly. During the National Day holiday, they even offered a different local Minnan specialty dish every day, and take-out breakfast was also available.

The hotel environment is impeccably clean, and being surrounded by trees, the air quality is excellent. The gym facilities are top-notch. Rooms feature double-layered soundproofing, ensuring a very quiet and peaceful stay. Upon check-in, as a member, I was treated to complimentary welcome fruits and drinks, and my room was also upgraded. For breakfast, the pastries were delicious, and the mung bean soup was a refreshing treat, perfect for cooling off.

The primary draw is its location near the ferry terminal to Gulangyu Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The hotel has modern comforts with some shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The rooms are generally clean and the sheets were well cleaned and maintained Had to specifically mention Xiao Zhong the reception staff who was helpful and friendly and helped us with directions, and local tips. Had a good stay

This is the perfect choice for my trip traveling between the UTMB Xiamen race. It’s only around 10 mins walk away from Fantian Temple where the starting and finish line was. Besides, the hotel is very new, well kept, clean & has very helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. Definitely come back to this hotel if I need to visit the same neighborhood.
