Dazaifu Tenmangu - Fukuoka

The Dazaifu Tenmangu is a popular destination in Fukuoka which features a shrine that is dedicated to Sugawara Michizane, the deity of learning, culture, and the arts. There are many shops along the path leading to the shrine, selling both souvenirs and Dazaifu local treats. One of the main treats is a rice cake mochi filled with red beans, Umegae mochi. There are also 3 museums that visitors can enjoy including the Kyushu National Museum which features different exhibitions.
