Bottomless Lake is located between the two Shangri-Las of Yunnan and Sichuan, in the hinterland of Dilong Snow Mountain. Dilong Snow Mountain is one of the seven major snow mountains of Shangri-La, with peaks clustered together, the main peak reaching an altitude of 5004 meters, and the mountain has a hundred peaks over 4000 meters in altitude, resembling a kingdom of snow mountains. The hiking route from Bottomless Lake to Fairy Lake and then to Heavenly Pool starts and ends at Bottomless Lake. The total distance from Bottomless Lake to Fairy Lake is 4km.
