Goodbye to the blue of the Red Sea, Hilton Resort in Hurghada, Egypt

My unconventional Egyptian itinerary goes like this: land in Cairo, lie on the Red Sea in Sharm El Sheikh for three days, then lie on the Mediterranean in Alexandria for three days, then fly back to Hurghada on the Red Sea and continue to lie for three days. I didn't see the pyramids or visit the temples, and half of my trip has passed. The reason for such a free-spirited trip is that the Egyptian seascape is too beautiful, the hotel facilities are not bad, and most importantly, the prices are low. I personally think it's more cost-effective than Southeast Asia. I chose to stay at the Hilton in Hurghada, which is not far from the airport and the city, and has its own stretch of coastline. They are generous to members and upgraded me to a sea-view duplex suite. It's not in the main building, but in a row of villas near the pool in front of the main building. From the second-floor balcony, you can see the mottled blue through the gaps in the palm trees. The room's decoration level is equivalent to that of China twenty years ago, the color scheme is full of oceanic style, but it can't stand close scrutiny. The size and depth of the bathtub are only suitable for foot baths. There is an open kitchen downstairs, which is useful if you stay for a few days. If you want to lie in bed and watch the magnificent seascape, I would recommend staying on the upper floors of the main building. Both the main building and the villas are a bit far from the sea, so the visual effect of watching the sea is more of a distant view rather than immersion. The small bay where the hotel is located has a breakwater, forming a blue like a lagoon with different depths, which is intoxicating. Unfortunately, there is no beach due to the large waves, and the building orientation is unreasonable. It's a big minus for the location and design that a sea-view hotel can't see either sunrise or sunset. The breakfast standard should be the highlight of this trip to Egypt. Although it's still a cold buffet, the richness of fruits and bread is unprecedented, with strawberries, dates, and mushrooms to the point of disgust. The only annoyance is that the cold cuts need to be cut by the staff on the spot, similar to the salmon in domestic buffets. It's embarrassing for people who can't ask for more, and they will suffer a loss. The hotel does not have an executive lounge, but there is a happy hour in the lobby bar for diamond card members in the evening. Unfortunately, only alcoholic and soft drinks are free, and snacks are charged separately. Fortunately, it is close to a large local shopping center, with a wide range of dining options, and it is also convenient to call a car. It won't be like Sharm El Sheikh where you can only be trapped in the hotel. Finally, payment must be made in US dollars, and there is no hair to be plucked.
