The monkeys have taken over!

A fun time exploring the Kathmandu Monkey Temple, referred to as Swoyambhu Mahachaitya by the locals… It was amazing climbing the steps, being greeted and eyed at by all the cute Macacas, seeing them jump around and cleaning each other up, picking off each whatever unwanted bugs might be trying to hang around! The temple itself was beautiful, but unfortunately under renovation at the moment. However still plenty of beautiful Buddha sculptures, and locals selling a bounty of lovely & authentic homemade crafts. Overall, a must see! #Kathmandu #monkeytemple
