Lahore, a city in Pakistan, is known for its educational institutions. There are more than 80 publishing houses, 300 bookstores, and 20 public libraries in the city. In the 13th century, Lahore became a center of poetry and learning, attracting scholars from Baghdad and Iran. This tradition of education and poetry continues to this day.
