Xi'an, with its high aesthetic appeal, this hotel is perfect for taking photos

In the historic and culturally rich ancient capital of Xi'an, where hotels abound, the Hyatt Regency Xi'an in the High-tech Zone stands out as the first of its kind in the northwest. To be memorable, it needs a unique temperament and a distinctive detail-oriented experience, which are showcased through its exterior and interior design. The hotel was designed by the renowned architect Kengo Kuma, who utilized local materials to combine traditional weaving techniques with modern materials, creating a space with exceptional character. The building's facade features a line structure that creates a woven feel, and under the sunlight, it has a silky texture. The hotel's main public areas are all located on the first floor, with the lobby, bar, and restaurant connected by an extra-long wall. The mural, which uses three horses representing the Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties as elements, conveys a sense of time travel. It was hand-painted by an artist over half a month and looks quite impressive. The lobby is open-plan, with an orange front desk that is an island counter, giving off a casual and relaxed vibe. When checking in, you can choose from five welcome drinks, which are quite tasty and comforting. There are a total of 231 guest rooms, and the one I stayed in was a corner room with windows on two sides offering scenic views. The design focuses on high-end comfort combined with a modern style, with warm-toned wood and bamboo green wallpaper, making the stay relaxing and cozy. If you pay close attention, you'll notice a slight similarity to the ambiance of Andaz rooms. Each room has an independent air purification system, which is excellent. The room numbers are unique, designed like horseshoes with different patterns of horses, giving the impression that this place is a station from ancient Chang'an. The entire first floor space features floor-to-ceiling windows, providing excellent lighting and a bright and spacious atmosphere. The overall style is simple and fashionable, perfect for taking photos, and the results are great. The restaurant and bar are combined into 'Zhangba No.2 Restaurant & Bar.' Near the windows on the first floor, there are many green plants and booth seating, creating a small forest atmosphere. This excellent ambiance is a social space emphasized by the hotel. There are many design details in the public areas to explore, such as the woven bar counter, car taillights used as decorations, and the wheel hubs under the lobby bar tables, which are very interesting.
