Checking in at a World Cultural Heritage site

Bingling Temple World Cultural Heritage Tourism Area was rated as a "National 5A Tourist Scenic Area" by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in December 2020, with a total area of about 180 square kilometers. It includes the Bingling Temple Grottoes, known as the "Encyclopedia of Grotto Art", the Bingling Stone Forest, known as the "World's First Wonder", the Bingling Lake, the largest artificial freshwater lake in the northwest with a capacity of 5.7 billion cubic meters, the Huanghe Hydropower Expo Park, the only water control culture themed scenic area in the country, the spectacular view of the Tao and Huang rivers converging, and the Liujiashan Hydropower Station, the first million-kilowatt hydropower hub project in Asia. The area is the most charming section of the upper reaches of the Yellow River, with beautiful natural scenery and a record of the brilliance of Yellow River civilization. It is a place where the waters of heaven converge, combining the beauty of the south and the grandeur of the plateau, and is full of the earth's aura since ancient times. There are numerous historical sites, and traces of the Silk Road, the Tang-Tibet Ancient Road, and the Qin and Han Guan are everywhere, making it a holy place to explore the Chinese Yellow River civilization and Chinese natural scenery. The interplay of ancient and modern cultures makes it an excellent place for ecological tourism, science education, leisure vacations, health preservation, and sports and entertainment activities.
