A Roadtrip To Sapa(Cat Cat Village)
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam which is also filled with insane amount of traffic. Normally travellers will arrive into Hanoi, roughly a day stay or 2 before they head out, and for us we went towards the village of Sapa where Cat Cat Village is located.
One way to get here is to hire a private tour bus to drive you to sapa as this can be almost a 6 hours drive.
Upon reaching Sapa, you be greeted with views of the mountains areas as Cat Cat Village technically is situated at the base of fansipan and most tourists will stop here for a night or 2 to enjoy the traditional local food and especially to catch the view from afar of Fansipan. Its quite an amazing view from Cat Cat Village alone, so you should definitely stop here before heading up.

Sapa Must Do!!!
Getting There - sleeper bus from hanoi. Got it from klook and it’s not say that decent, given that I asked for a single seat bus but was given double seater bus
Attractions - sapa is beautiful with its rice padi fields and landscapes and terrace farming. FANSIPAN is a must go mountain, the scenery up the cable car and monorail is nice! cat cat village is touristy, but that’s where we enjoyed the little shops that sells fancy handmade souvenirs at a cheap price
Hotels - we stayed at “my gallery boutique” with mountain view
Food & Restaurants - the “good morning cafe” nearby serves really good food! my fav is the egg coffee
Shopping - souvenir stalls around

Beautiful tribal village in Sapa
Getting There - Bus from Sapa town
Attractions - the traditional village of the minority here. There’s a fair bit of steps to go down to the village. Along the way, you can admire the mountain view of Sapa. We came here in the late afternoon and managed to see the sunset. So beautiful.
This used to be a real village but now turned to tourist attraction. Don’t expect to see “real” activities going-on in the village. But you will get a glimpse of their daily life. The water fall at the bottom of the village is beautiful for some photo opportunities.
There’s also a display of how the tribal ladies made the handicraft cloth (thổ cẩm). They used the traditional method of dying and thus their hands are also dyed with blue.
A Glimpse into Amazing culture
Th
Overall, Sapa Catcat village offers a unique and enriching experience for those seeking to connect with authentic culture and natural beauty. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.
Sapa cat cat village
I made my way to cat cat village while I was traveling in Vietnam sapa previously. There is an entrance fee required to enter and thereafter you can explore this cool village all on your own. Don’t need any tour guides it’s just a simple one way down. You’ll get to see the nice pretty waterfalls and their people here dressed up in the traditional costume. Overall it’s quite a fun and nice place to be at. And I will recommend visiting if you are in sapa Vietnam.
#catcatvillage A beautiful traditional village that you must visit if you’re in Sapa. Do note that there is an entrance fee and there are a lot of uphills, downhills and steps that might be exhausting but it’s a beautiful village. Best to visit in spring, autumn and summer as it wouldn’t be so cold and muddy...The main attraction was the waterfall and the bridge area. Yes it was beautiful but Cat Cat Village is more to market than the village itself. You can’t really see and feel the culture because it is just full of shops and it's just walk trip market..But it has beautiful scenery and products here are very good quality and handmade and we even bought beautiful bags for my in Law.
Stairway down to cat cat village

I arrived to cat cat village sapa by walking from my hotel entrance to here. Took me about 20 minutes. Then I paid for the entrance fee and was greeted with lots of stairs down. Over here the first thing you see is a super good view! And then you can pay to take photos at some of their photo spots but mostly to enjoy the nice view all around. Looking at the plantations and all. Lots of locals here. Recommend to just take a short nice stroll and enjoy.

It is a lovely village with peaceful views & serene atmosphere. We went in December and the weather is cold.
As we explore the picturesque scenes of Sapa, we were awed by the mighty mountains, immense forests, beautiful terraced fields, amazing valleys, and stunning waterfalls.
We did a little shopping at the village too. You can find range of items, from packaged and fresh food to handicrafts and clothes at reasonable prices.
We enjoyed the rural feeling of ancient village here. Worth a visit if you have spare time.

After arriving in Sapa, we visited CatCat Village - a famous village visited by travelers from all over the world. Here, we walked all the way down the slopes and stairs through the woods. Looking from a distance, it was like walking into a paradise in a valley. The cottages were built along the valley, with small bridges crossing the valley and large and small waterfalls. The scenery was pleasant and travelers also able to captured many beautiful photos. We can also sit quietly and enjoy the scenery or walk along the valley to absorb the aura of the valley. In addition, we can also experience local traditional ethnic costumes and travel through the village. From winding little streets, ancient houses, craft villages, white foaming waterfalls to unique performances by local artisans. Passing through the steep stone road, a beautiful scenery unfolds in front of you. A whole white waterfall with fast flowing water; a huge water wheel, a crumbling bamboo bridge, a wooden swing, and a simple hut. This is CatCat Village in Sapa.

Fairyland on Earth in Vietnam
#hiddengems Everyone is talking about going to Sapa but have you heard about this little fairy village? Come close, let me tell you this.
If you ever have a chance to visit Sapa, make sure to spend some time to Cat Cat Village that’s just 20 minutes from the Sapa Town. The ambience is so therapeutic and each corner feels like in a fairyland. They preserve their culture very firmly that you can found many unique tools and foods here.
Tips:
1. You can take either motorcycle or taxi to bring you here but I must tell you wear a proper shoe cause you will need to climb up and down some stairs because this village is located as the valley.
2. Have a visit on the morning so that you won’t encounter so many people and feel the cold breeze of the mountains.
3. Yes, you will need to pay the entrance but worry not it’s worth every penny.
Cheers!!!

Cat Cat village in Sapa
Getting There - On the journey to discover Cat Cat village, there are 2 roads that will surely leave you with the most impressions. This is the road leading to Cat Cat village and the stairway from the gate of Cat Cat village leading the entrance to the inside of the village.
Attractions -
On the stone steps you will see the best of these houses. Although small and simple, it is very pretty with a few flower pots, plant pots placed on the roof, sometimes a wooden swing in front of the house for children to play.
It can be said that the village center is the most prominent stop in the journey to discover Cat Cat village. Crossing the steep, stone-paved road, a whole beautiful scenery will open up before your eyes, but you should pay attention because this road is quite slippery.
A whole white waterfall, fast flowing with murmuring sound. There are quite a few interesting things here for you to discover. The giant watermills, the bamboo bridge precariously over the rolling waterfall, the wooden swings, the rustic cottages, etc. make you not miss to leave.

Cat Cat Village is located in the mountain Valley of Sapa Vietnam, which gathered various cultural ethnic groups selling handcraft and presenting performances. it's primarily lots of uneven stairways going up and down following the hilly landscape, which took us almost 3 hours to walk the entire place without much stopping. Entrance fee vnd150k per entry. You can also rent a cultural costume for pl better photo effects too!

Awesome views at Cat cat village
A simple walk through a living village to savour tribal life and awesome views. Do take along a poncho and a hat and souvenirs for little children. I brought colour pencils and colouring books for these kids who live here with their mum's who sell products or run little shops selling drinks and craft wares and dried meat. it can be crowded but there is a moment for every person.#catcatvillage
Catcat Village - Sapa
Catcat Village, a very traditional way of life in north Vietnam, is only a few minutes from Sapa's city. If I'm not mistaken, the entrance cost is 7-8 USD per person, and it's well worth seeing. However, you should arrive as early as possible so that you have more time to snoop about and snap more breathtaking shots, or even have a shot of coffee break. The price is reasonable there, and if you want to ride a motorcycle, make sure you know how to bargain; 30-40 thousand each trip is deemed adequate. Have a great time in Sapa, gentlemen! #Sapa #catcatvillage
Just visited Sapa, Hanoi, it was a beautiful place to visit. The weather was cooling and most importantly the scenery was awesome! It’s just like a wallpaper appeared right in front of you. I didn’t expect there’s such a beautiful place located in Hanoi. Definitely worth visiting.
May also visit Fansipan which is a mountain. Is freezing cold up there! the weather was 3 degree celcius when I was there.
Cat Cat Village At Fansipan
Before you head towards the peak of Fansipan, i recommend to also village the Cat Cat village or some call it the Kat Kat village, since this is also enroute towards fansipan.
The Cat Cat Village is a small little village where now it has become a tourists attraction and a pit stop for trekking items like shoes and warm clothes, hand made souvenirs by the local villages and if you are interested they have a local tribe show that requires to pay a ticket.
Also when you are here don't forget to take a walk towards the suspension bridge where you will see 2 different waterfalls which I'm assuming that these water comes from the various mountains and flow down to these villages.
