#Denpasar Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
landmark
Address:
Denpasar, Denpasar City, Bali, Indonesia
Recommended sightseeing time:
1-2 days
Bali - it has all the elements
Temples, hot springs, volcanoes
Offshore islands, surfing, going out to sea
Snorkeling, deep diving, crab boats
Watching the sunrise and sunset
Photographing dolphins playing in the water
There's no lack of cool and warm colors
There's no shortage of culture and nature
This is Bali
This island located in the southern part of Indonesia
Located in the southern hemisphere
Near the equator
The climate is warm, needless to say
It's a great place to spend the winter and summer
Mount Agung is the highest peak locally
Nearly three thousand meters above sea level
Active volcano
The most recent eruption was in 2019
Quite active
Sitting on the volcano viewing platform and having a simple meal is also a unique experience
Of course, usually, people go to Mount Batur
Bali itself is not big
But it is more recommended to rent a car for travel
After all, the public transportation system is not as convenient and developed as in our country
The usual car rental routes will go to the Sea God Temple, Mother God Temple, and Holy Spring Temple
Take a look at the local temple style
Visit the rituals and believers
In addition, it should be mentioned
The main island of Indonesia believes in Islam
While this place in Bali believes in Hinduism
After visiting the temples, go to Ubud
Take a look at the local palace
Market and rural scenery
The accommodation here is usually villa type
Cheap and plentiful
Highly recommended to stay for a day or two
Then head north to Lovina
Chasing dolphins frolicking and jumping
Accompanied by the leisure time of sunrise and sunset
Then return to Denpasar (the capital)
Surf at Kuta Beach
Watch the sunset
Stroll around the bustling city
If you have time, you can also stay in Nusa Dua for a few nights
This is a high-end hotel concentration area
Vehicle security checks will be conducted when entering the area
It's the highest security level I've seen in Bali
Here you can see the extremely beautiful cliff scenery
Undisturbed private beaches, etc.
Of course
Depending on the schedule
You can also go to the offshore islands
Blue Dream Island
The seascape here is even more top-notch
And the most famous "Devil's Tears"
Be careful
Every year these tears are "devouring" those who have no respect for the sea
Blue Dream Island is even smaller
Travel on the island is all by renting motorcycles
Take a look at the seaweed fields
Look at Mount Agung in the distance
It's great
So Bali is a place suitable for all ages
Leave enough time
You can still have a comfortable time

Playing at a relatively new cafe in the Tukad Badung area. The place is really fun, the design is dominated by orange. There are 2 floors which include indoor and outdoor areas. They also have meeting room facilities. Suitable for those of you who are looking for a comfortable cafe while working. The food and drink menu here is also delicious and the choices are varied. There are coffee and non-coffee menus, snacks to heavy meals. The service is really good.

I went many cities in Bali! Kuta, Ubud and Canggu. If you ask me which city is the best, definitely Ubud.
There’s a lot of things to do. Especially the nature view is really nice. My phone is not enough to take that whole view.
In Ubud, traffic jam is really horrible. Around 5-7pm, it is really packed, so have to hurry to go to see sunset.
I was really looking forward to go La Brisa beach club. Beach was really nice BUT I found that employee make Asian people sit at the very back from the beach. So I disappointed a bit.

Bali isn't just Denpasar
When you mention Bali, most people will immediately think of cheap beer and dodgy backpackers in Kuta (Despasar). Sure there are lots of those as well, but there's more to Bali than just drinking questionable alcohol with questionable individuals.
We spent a week up in the mountains, well away from the sea. And we were well rewarded, with clean air, less crowds, and some really awesome outdoor adventure.
The hiking and trekking, while cold, was very memorable. The botanical gardens were a very welcome change of scenery as well. Almost seemed like we weren't even in Asia.
Highly recommend going away from Ubud as well, as there's certainly other temples than just the ones Julia Roberts would have glorified in film.

BALI , INDONESIA .
Highlight - Bali is a province of Indonesia and the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. East of Java and west of Lombok, the province includes the island of Bali and a few smaller neighbouring islands, notably Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan. The provincial capital, Denpasar is the most populous city in the Lesser Sunda Islands and the second-largest, after Makassar, in Eastern Indonesia. The upland town of Ubud in Greater Denpasar is considered Bali's cultural centre. The province is Indonesia's main tourist destination, with a significant rise in tourism since the 1980s. Tourism-related business makes up 80% of its economy.

Four Star by Trans Hotel is a fairly new hotel on the island. It has, however, quickly garnered a reputation for being one of the premier resorts in the Denpasar area of Bali, and fairly so. The absolute best part of the villa was the private pool and spacious outdoor seating area with a day bed. What more could you possibly want from a luxury vacation?
With four dining options, there’s no shortage of culinary choices at the Trans Hotel. At the Restaurant, we enjoyed their impressive breakfast buffet every morning. They aim to satisfy all palettes here with around-the-world dishes including both Indonesian and Western-style breakfast food. You can enjoy all-day dining options as well, with healthy menus and specially made kids dishes. There is truly something for everyone who is looking for casual dining.
Four Star by Trans Hotel is a luxurious oasis in the heart of Denpasar. The lush surroundings and opulent rooms are reason enough to book, but the four-star service is why I’d recommend this place to any traveler heading to Bali.

Denpasar amazed me with it unique Balinese atmosphere. First of all, the airport is just here. I walked from airport on foot 10 mins to get my hotel and then 10 mins more to get beach and blue ocean. In Denpasar you can enjoy so many activities such as surfing, shopping, spa, massage, trying Indonesian, Indian, Chinese, Western cuisine etc. Even if I stayed in my hotel "The Kutaya", I still would enjoy Bali. There are swimming pool, small restaurant, temples.

Denpasar, also known as "Batang", is the southern port of Bali, Indonesia. It is the capital of Bali, a famous tourist destination in Indonesia. It has a population of about 52,000 and is surrounded by the island road. It is the largest city and commercial center on the island and the city with the most tourists. It combines a rich religious atmosphere with a modern style, and reflects the unique charm of Bali in the architectural style, making this tourist attraction full of charm. There is an air station nearby. Copra Trade Center. There are museums with treasures of art and many Hindu temples. For tourist attractions.

THE SUPER AESTHETIC SPACE WAS BORN IN DENPASAR
The super aesthetic space was born in Denpasar. It is one of the huge spaces in the central city, a gorgeous design with soft army green as the iconic. They have two floors with several seat options. On the 1st floor, there are indoor with full AC, an outdoor and a kid’s corner. When you walk into it, you will immediately see a long bar that showcases a quite cool coffee machine. Then up to the 2nd floor, you will find a semi-outdoor room and a large meeting room that you can switch to a karaoke room. All are very comfortable and spotless.
Time to try their coffee and food. The coffee taste was good in medium to bold type. The bitterness of the aftertaste is a bit strong, but still okay and pleasant in the mouth. Additionally, their food looked appetizing with local Indonesian cuisine and Western. I tried some and they were so yummy in the right portion. Their menu prices are cheap for such a great place. Very worth to try.#localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #baliindonesia #balifood #kopihitam

OLENO COFFEE SHOP
Approximately 12 years ago, my sister's pre-wedding photo shoot was held at this hotel with the concept of romanticism from the past. It was heart-rending when the pandemic seemed to make it looks closed. Now it is open again and there is a coffee shop in one corner. You can see from the roof that it still has a joglo feel But the interior is very contradictory. There is no central pattern, symmetrical pattern, pillar tectonics, like joglo in general. The glass area becomes the face, while the other side is massive. Room divided into 3 zones, namely the bar, the front facing dining area garden, and a thin, elongated side dining area like alley. The walls and ceiling are only covered with cement plaster without paint. One wall is lined with brick play. Brick material then accompanied by floor material made of terracotta. The orange color of this terracotta material is repeated on the garden seating area umbrellas, cushions, logos and even cups. Interesting consistency of color concept. The coffee is delicious & friendlier to the stomach because it is full of Arabica. Sip by sip while enjoying the atmosphere of the park being drenched by heavy rain. Every sip is delicious which made us not feel trapped by the rain.

KOJA
Apart from being beautiful & unpretentious, this cafe seems to be the only one in Denpasar who looks neat without The vehicle parking in front was damaged. For parking, there is a yard Spacious at the rear, with the same entrance as the RS. MMC. The front area is filled with 2 sets of high metal seats. The shade made from green fabric makes a harmonious friend with the facade of the kitchen area clad in green ceramic tiles. Green ceramic tiles that continue into the bar. In the, there is a sitting area with a long sofa which is also green in color. The wood material on the table, chairs & cabinet makes the room warmer and more luxurious. The cushions have a bohemian pattern, providing color so that the room is not too monotonous. The subtle movement of sunlight through the venetian blinds was enough to balance the busy activity of the bar that afternoon. At the back there is a larger seating area, with ambiance opens to the parking area. Bench seating area at the back quite unique. Must stop & see first hand what the bench looks like yes. This time before sipping coffee, I coated my stomach with a bowl of pho bo. The meat is tender, and the sauce is delicious. The capuccinno almost tasted like piccolo. The coffee taste is strong, not drowned out by the milk taste. The coffee is completely Arabica, a mixture of Ljen & Solok beans, of course the taste is no joke. The place comfortable, beautiful, with a large food & drink menu variant, it looks like it will be a place I visit often.

Jaya Giri Coffee
It presents to enliven coffee shop in Denpasar. It has a minimalist Scandinavian style. Even though small, they have space that is suitable for co-working, studying or meeting. The location is quite quiet with excellent service.
Their coffee rate is super cheap. On the other side, their coffee taste is so good in lite to medium types and they give complimentary mineral water.

Dua Kafe Bali
The overall design and surrounding of DUA Kafe were incredibly pleasing to the eye. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the carefully selected decor pieces to the soothing color palette. It was evident that the owners had put a lot of thought into creating a space that is aesthetically pleasing and inviting.
I highly recommend visiting DUA Kafe if you appreciate tasteful design, a calming ambiance, and a touch of local artistry. It's a place where simplicity meets sophistication, and it left me with a lasting impression.

Kyoto Country Club Cafe
The food served was delicious as were the drinks, but maybe the bread I ordered was too dry (it varies from person to person) while the eggs were delicious, especially when they were half cooked. The atmosphere itself is cool, comfortable and suitable for casual chatting with friends, especially when you get a really Japanese feel. The waiters are also friendly and fun to joke with. Naiseee ✨

It was another fine experience to have a coffee here; open early morning with great outdoor seating. Narrow space but still cozy. Recommended to only use bike/ motorcycle here due to their limited parking space in front of and around the shop.
Friendly staff and barista that serve well. The menu was written on detailed explanation for new customer.

Been here a few times, bcs it’s close to my campus. Good place with good food. The workers are very friendly. My gf accidentally spilled his entire drink before even manage to took a sip. They replace it with the new one for free. I really am thankful for that. And really appreciate it. Good service. They have both indoor and outdoor tables. A good place to kill some time until your class starts. I ordered rice bowls. Chicken katsu as i remember. The portion is good. And i got 2 lychee in my lychee tea.

Niko looks great: like a expo pavillion at a world exhibition. Airy, steel and glass and in the center two trees! The coffee is barista quality and super delicious. We would have tried the house specialities croissants and "crofels" BUD both have not been available for unknown reasons. They also serve spaghetti and pizza so you will not leave hungry.

Homey coffee shop in the Renon area which has just been renovated so the outdoor and indoor areas are spacious...
I really like the comfortable atmosphere here for drinking coffee or sitting and relaxing while waiting for the children to go home from school. The design is beautiful with a minimalist feel which is good for being a photo spot, the AC is cold and the WiFi is ok.
Many choices of coffee menu, non-coffee, heavy food and also light food with quite large portions suitable for gathering with friends.

TOMORO COFFEE - Sesetan
It just appeared in Bali, so I tried picking it up via the app. get a 40% discount, and be served quickly. Regarding the taste, I think the matcha latte is just right! There are lots of sockets and places to sit here, there is also wifi. the price is also affordable. Maybe the AC needs to be cooler, since it's really hot in Bali. Overall, looks like I'll come back another time.

Porto Kopi
Interesting little Coffee Shop. Located on the side of the road, this coffee shop attracts attention because of its unique color, a combination of terracotta and dark green.
This place has an indoor seating area (with AC) attached to the bar. Meanwhile, there is the outside too. This place provides lots of plugs so it's very helpful when you run out of batteries.
The coffee is just ordinary, the food doesn't have too many choices. It's very suitable for relaxing for a while, but for hanging out for a long time the seating seems less comfortable and because it's small, if it's too noisy it could disturb other visitors.

Mood Coffee Bali
Mood Coffee is probably one of the most suitable cafes for me. The food is delicious, the place is narrow, but comfortable. The location is also quite strategic.
Considering that the space on the 1st & 2nd floors is narrow, choosing the 3rd floor which provides open and wide views could be an attractive choice. Although he said there are sometimes bands on the rooftop at the weekend which can be less suitable for introverts.
