A Daytrip to Hang Mua Peak, Vietnam
Hang Mua Peak in Vietnam is an absolute stunner, guys! If you're up for an adventure and some mind-blowing views, this place is where it's at. Tucked away in the Ninh Binh province, Hang Mua Peak is a perfect mix of jaw-dropping nature and rich culture.
Now, let's talk about the hike. It's no joke, my friends. You'll be tackling 500 steep steps that'll get your heart pumping. But trust me, it's all worth it when you reach the top.
The view? Imagine rice fields, limestone karsts, and snaking rivers stretching out before your eyes. Picture-perfect, especially at sunrise or sunset when the sky puts on a show.
Oh, and did I mention the badass stone dragon staircase? Yeah, that's a thing here. It adds an extra touch of awesomeness to the whole experience.
Hang Mua Peak is a definite must-do in Vietnam. Get ready to have your mind blown and create memories that'll last a lifetime. So grab your hiking shoes (in my case, office shoes) and get ready to conquer those steps!

Exploring Mua Caves in Ninh Binh
While everyone was rushing to get to the top of the mountain, @nvang3 and I slowly took our time to find the best photo spots. We got very lucky and found an amazing lotus pond with a walkway that eas totally empty. We got to enjoy the entire place by ourselves.
While visiting Mua Caves, the cave had been filled with water from the recent downpours of the rainy season. Since it was closed, we weren't able to visit in October. However, all is not a loss. We were able to enjoy many different things.
You can walk alongside a walkway that hugs a huge field of lotus. While everyone was climbing up to see the view, we took advantage and had the entire garden to ourselves.
Next, we journeyed up the stairs to follow our fellow travelers and was blessed with beautiful views of the valleys. You can see people canoeing on the river. There were people who hiked to the top and took photos with a dragon statue at the top.

All the shades of green in Hang Múa
#greentrip #bucketlistreboot
Ninh Binh as a city may not turn heads like Hoi An or Hue but the nature surrounding the city and the fact that it is only an hour's drive away from Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam makes it a great place for travelers who are looking to escape the bustling Hanoi and be among nature.
Mua Cave Viewpoint is hands down, my favorite tourist attraction in Ninh Binh. Although the temple and the cave itself are pretty average, the stairway with elaborated dragon sculptures straddled on 2 sides that goes up the limestone mountain to a viewpoint is another story.
The Mua Cave (Hang Múa) Viewpoint will require you to hike up the 486 steps along a stone stairway that zig-zags its way up to the top of a limestone mountain giving you an incredible vantage point and a sweeping view of Tam Coc where you will see why they called it the on land Halong Bay.

Hang Mua (Mua Cave)
Many people recommend visiting this place for sunrise or sunset. I wanted to do both but could only visit at dusk. I ride a bicycle from Tam Coc. It's about a 25-minute trip.
It is true that you are stopped by women to park your bicycle or motorcycle at their house. On the way down, I was physically stopped 3 times. It's annoying, and I can see why people give up and pay them. I know that there are only 5,000 parking spots at the entrance, so I refuse them all and drive every time.
I paid an entrance fee of 100,000 and started my trip to the beginning of the climb. You pass by stalls, coffee shops, restaurants, and restrooms.
You definitely need water for hiking. The stairs are okay to climb, but some are very steep. I did the hike quite well but passed an old Vietnamese couple that took their time.
I hope I arrived early enough to go the right way and have time to see the scenery there. Many people say they prefer the view of the river and lotus fields from there over the dragon's view. But sunset was approaching, and I wanted to reach the dragon. There are a few viewpoints on the way up, all of which are amazing.
When you arrive at the pagoda below the dragon, refuel with liquid.
Unfortunately, some of us couldn't sit on top of the dragon. It was really crowded, and there was no longer a safe way to hold it. I'm sure the view would have been more amazing than what I saw, but it's still worth the hike. The ascent is a bit scary in the dark. The stairs are mostly lit below, and for the parts that aren't, I use my torch in line!
The cycle back to Tam Coc is a small adventure, with no lights on the bicycle, and many parts are unlit.

Hang Mua Ecolodge- Ninh Bình
Getting There - Mua Cave has a convenient geographical location when it is 100km from Hanoi, located at the foot of Mua Mountain in Ninh Binh province. The cave has an image like an upside down bell with hundreds of steps leading to the top of the mountain with many delicate carvings from the Tran Dynasty. Here, King Tran visited to see the singing and dancing of the old concubines and is also the reason why the cave was named Mua cave.
Coming to Ninh Binh Dance Cave, you will be able to see the stairs delicately carved on both sides of the unique dragon and phoenix shape. Besides, around the way there are always beautiful natural scenes, at any corner you can easily have your own unique virtual photo.
Traveling to Ninh Binh Mua Cave, you cannot miss the famous specialties here. These are burnt rice, goat meat, Yen Mac spring rolls, mountain snails and fish salad, water cake... Enjoy them at the restaurants around Mua Cave to admire the natural scenery and enjoy great food.

Hang Mua- Laying Dragon
Hang Mua- Ninh Bin region. 2.5 hours from Hanoi.
After climbing for approximately 500 stairs, you ll come to one of the most beautiful sceneries. Gorgeous view over the rice fields, limestone mountains and Tam Coc Valley. You have 2 peaks to choose. One is a bit easier, while the other one is a bit challenging. But it s definitely worth going an extra mile. On top of this side, there is a Laying Dragon statue, made from stone, and it has massive in local culture. The Mua Cave Ecolodge is situated at the base of the mountain. To get to the stairs, you will have to firstly go through this oasis of lush plants and tranquility. The eco lodge also has a small lake which offers a spectacular view over the Hang Mua Peak.
This is definitely worth visiting. #ninhbinh #Hangmua #vietnam
