After 8 am, a lot of people show up. You can leisurely walk or ride bicycles all the way to the temples. We stop at grandmas house for lunch along the way. #visithangzhou I arrived in Hangzhou in a gloomy day yet this city did not disappoint me. I was able to see and experience its beauty. The West Lake is phenomenal. As far as I remember, I went back to this lake 3 times in my whole trip. I even had dinner alongside the lake. The experience was magnificent. Another thing I love HZ is the replica of Eiffel Tower! It is so convenient to get there from the central district. You should go and see the tower. I would love to go back again!

A little bit away from the crowds, this park is relaxing and beautiful. It has a little river and also some boats going down it. You can walk on a few different bridges or observe blossoming trees in spring. It’s not crowded as it usually happens with Hangzhou and it’s also quite a nice place to see in spring. Hangzhou is one of the best spots of you live in Shanghai, as it is only a ~45 minute high speed train away, and it is such a nice break from the city life! Hangzhou is so green I was honestly so surprised, but it made for an amazing trip! The one thing you MUST do in Hangzhou is see the sunset at West Lake! Almost anywhere will give you a good view, and it is very accessible with many different forms of public transport, walking, or driving there. Walking is nice because you can see all the little things you wouldn’t see if you were driving or biking. After way too long down south in perpetual summer it was finally time to head north for some proper autumn. Thankfully Hangzhou, once again, didn’t disappoint - with the autumn colors a welcome change from all the green.
