The room size is quite spacious for Japan; there's plenty of room for two 20-inch suitcases. Free toiletries are available on the first floor, including bath salts, face masks, facial cleanser, and lotion samples. The room also comes with a comfortable yukata. Breakfast is very generous, featuring local specialty Kougen milk (the hard-to-find glass bottle version), and the hotel's homemade grape-flavored milk jam is also worth a try. The hotel is connected to a convenience store on the first floor, and you can enter the hotel from Lawson using your room card (especially convenient on snowy days as the road facing the hotel's main entrance is less accessible than the convenience store's entrance). It's right opposite Morioka Station, and you can walk to Kaiun Bridge in a few minutes. From Kaiun Bridge, you get a superb view of Mount Iwate.
A very cute cabin in the woods, about 3-5 minutes drive from the ski resort. If you drive, I recommend this hotel. It may not be very convenient if you don't have a car.
The hotel has 2 private hot springs that can be reserved, so you can go there when no one is using them. It is a very special experience to soak in the hot springs in the snow.
The hotel's location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk to Kaiun Bridge. Parking is mechanical and costs 1100 JPY per day. The in-room toiletries are from DHC, which is a nice touch! What truly stands out, however, is the hotel's breakfast on the top floor. The view is absolutely stunning, with clear sights of Mount Iwate. The restaurant staff are incredibly energetic and friendly – they truly deserve praise! The cleaning staff were also very polite.
We were two people staying 3 nights.
We had breakfast and we were very happy with it (6:30-10:00, L.O 9:30). It didn’t change much during the stay, but it had a lot of options and it tasted good.
The room was small. If you have suitcase it will be hard to open it up. We didn’t have suitcases, so for us it was no problem. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
They have a manga library and coffe machine (15:00-22:00), and space with tables and chairs where you can e.g eat.
They have laundry as well (10:00-22:00). It was cheep (washing 400 yen 30 min, dryer 100 yen 10 min). It was a standing washing machine (which I don’t really like) and we had a lot of laundry, so we went to another coin laundry 1 min walk from the hotel, which was good (washing 15 kg 30 min 800 yen, drying 10 min 100 yen).
We didn’t use room cleaning, but every day we got a bag of towels on our door knob.
It is around 10-15 min walk to the station. But it’s close to shopping streets and Iwaki park. It has a lot of restaurants close by. If you like all-you-can-drink there’s a lot of options close by as well.
After check out we left our baggage for a couple of hours. It was no problem.
The people at the hotel were very nice and polite.
Overall we had a very nice stay at this hotel.
This was my second stay, and the autumn scenery is even more beautiful than in summer! The hotel's environment, service, and food are all excellent. We stayed two nights, and the dinners were different. The second night's dinner was so lavish, I couldn't finish it all even though I was stuffed. The breakfast buffet was also superb. The hotel staff are all very friendly and can help you call a taxi. The hotel has many hot springs, and the water quality is excellent. The only pity is that the semi-open-air hot spring now has glass windows installed, so you can't properly enjoy the autumn scenery outside, and it feels a bit stuffy. The mixed-gender bath has the most beautiful views, and from 8 PM to 9 PM, it's reserved for ladies. It would be perfect if they could also arrange an hour for ladies during the daytime, as the daytime scenery is even better, and ladies might feel more comfortable in a mixed-gender bath during those hours. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again if I get the chance.
I was delighted to have my meal overlooking the ski resort cable car; the breakfast and dinner selection was excellent and of high quality.
The room was spacious and roomy, making it easy to handle luggage.
The welcome drink area was incredibly thoughtful, offering a wide variety of choices. I highly recommend this hotel!
I had visited Momijikan on a day trip to the onsen before and loved it. This time, my boyfriend and I booked a great value room (randomly assigned) and were given a tatami room.
We got up early to see the sunrise over the snow-covered ground – the view was beautiful.
We asked the front desk to book a shuttle bus for the next day the night before, so we could go directly to JR Hanamaki Station after check-out – very convenient.
The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious – I highly recommend choosing a hotel with breakfast included when booking!
Location is very good, just two minutes walk from JR station. The shuttle bus stop to ski area is just one minute walk. Next to hotel is a big parking lot. Room is clean, but no hook for hanging stuff in the bathroom. No expectation in public bath, better than nothing. Kitakima is a very sleepy town, few selection of restaurants in town, no restaurant near the hotel, but one inside the hotel. Steak is great there. Wrong room type had been allocated to me ( not the problem of the hotel), but finally being compensated by Trip.com.
Hotel Jin Morioka is just next to the train station.
Very convenient location as a center point to travel in the region.
Rooms are clean and nice with Mountain View.
Breakfast for only 1000 Yen is a very good offer.
Definitely recommend this hotel 👍
The check-in staff introduced the hotel attentively and cleaned the room attentively. The ski rental staff are very patient.
But the quality of the food in the restaurant is average, and all the shrimps in the seafood are rotten. And some of the waiters are not polite to the guests.

Very Good

Amazing
I chose this hotel again because of its convenient location (just opposite to the JR station ) and it’s excellent lounge (free drinks provided from 1pm to 8pm). The staff were nice. I must choose this hotel again.
Great place !! Staff were great and very friendly. Room is considered big for my party of 3 . My room has a nice view of the water . Food were great too . Will stay here again
The best ski in and ski out and Onsen hotel in Japan so far! We loved the hotel so much in Oct 2025 so we rebooked and came again from Dec 20-24, 2025. 1. Very convenient for ski experience. Ski in and ski out. Ski rental and ski coach school are just besides hotel. Good experience for rentals and coaches hiring. 2. Breakfast and dinner buffets are great and so yummy! The food does change every night to give you diversified variation to choose from. Very delicate food preparations by great chefs so don’t worry you will never get bored. 3. Onsen is also great great great! Great view and women and men get alternate the hot spring pool everyday. 4. First floor relaxing area is great great! You have self service bar of juice / soda / coffee and popsicles. 5. The hotel staffs are so nice and make you feel at home. Motoyo-San is extremely friendly and her English is so fluent!!! We were very lucky to have her help out during our stay. 6. 3rd floor is newly renovated so pls try this beautiful room next time! Highly recommend!!!! Great for family and couple trips!
The location is good for the family ski holiday with all facilities available for this ski-in/ski-out hotel. The breakfast has a good variety while the dinner options are good especially the Teppanyaki restaurant with the local beef and abalone. The Japanese restaurant was also good with various dishes to choose from. The outdoor onsen at 白樺之湯 really worth the visit after the ski and I’d recommend to enjoy at day time. We have also tried the hotel massage services and it was really good and relaxing! The only thing for improvement is that the room themselves are a bit old and maybe should consider renovations in coming years. The shops have many food and drinks and souvenirs. We also got a big pack of fireworks that we can pay together with kids just outside the hotel on the snow slope. Overall we enjoyed the stay and the slopes and ski school are magnificent!
I stayed at this place during my hike through the Michinoku coastal trail. This is a good choice before you attempt Kurosakiso and Kitayamazaki coast. This can be reached easily from Horinai station. Cross the big bridge and walk a bit more, you can see the sign to the left. The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor onsen. Many locals come here to use the onsen. They probably have annual or life membership to use the onsen. It is a nice opportunity to chat with some of them. When I was there, it was raining and hence I could not enjoy the view, however, using onsen after hiking in the rain was quite relaxing. On a clear day, the ocean can be seen from the room window. Dinner can be ordered and is quite good at a reasonable price. The next day, the hotel shuttle dropped me to the train station which was quite nice, I did not have to walk in rain.
This hotel is really out-of-the-way; I'd recommend driving. It's mainly a place to go if you want to ski, as it's by a ski resort. I found the area to be very quiet. The hotel food was excellent, though you'll need some level of Japanese proficiency to effectively communicate with the staff. You can enjoy a bath in your room, or the hot springs downstairs. Overall quite nice, the rooms have a cottage feel.
on holidays in Japan, using JR pass ( travelling by train), the location is not that far from the train station (1.3 km - 10 - 15 min walk, easy for me) but there is no public transport. Ideal however if you have a car as is outside of the city center, easy with parking. The single bed was good, all what I need to rest. Breakfast was ' nothing special' but hey, its good that it is there ( toasts, jams, yogurt, some potato salad with slice of ham, coffee, milk, apple juice). nearby 7-Eeleven ( for dinner). Facilities include coin operated laundry, microwave, hot water ( for brewed drinks). This at the price which was far cheaper on Saturday night than any other hotel, and so if you are budget traveler, all what's needed can be found there
The hotel is just a short walk across the JR station. To reach the hotel, you need to use the underpass. You can use the B1 lift to enter or exit the underpass so it’s very convenient for those with luggages. The room is small but functional. The only complaint is that the kettle provided cannot be dismantled from the plug. In order to fill water you need to carry the kettle together with the plug. Otherwise, everything is just perfect.
