At the hotel, our experience was impeccable. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided us with exceptional treatment, making us feel welcome and cared for at all times. The outdoor pool was a true oasis of tranquility, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the good weather. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing everything needed for a 10 stay. Additionally, we decided to have a massage at the hotel spa, and the quality of service exceeded our expectations, leaving us completely revitalized.

Everything is great, location and the bed. If I am not mistaken there is no hair dryer. It would be great if there is one. Other than this, everything is good. A short walk from the train station.

Ribeira is a nice hotel - location is excellent with everything else being good to average. Management can pay more attention to details - as an example, no tissue paper in the room, only one small garbage can etc. The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and steam room - the last two were not working when I used it earlier.

Gostamos muito da estadia neste hotel. Atendimento excelente e tudo muito limpo com cuidado nos mínimos detalhes. Deram uma flor ás mulheres no pequeno almoço. Apenas duas coisas a apontar, o acesso ao spa faz com que se tenha de passar pela área de restaurante e bar, onde recai também a segunda crítica, de que deveriam disponibilizar robes a todos os hóspedes de forma a não ter de vestir e despir a própria roupa ao chegar ao mesmo e ter de passar por estas áreas do hotel, o que não acontece. De resto estava tudo 5 estrelas.

We have stayed a few times at the Porta do sol. Great staff, great breakfast, fab spa and swimming pools. Really enjoyed our stays. We will be going again later in the year. Overall Fabulous.

Due to a temporary change in itinerary, we stayed in Viana do Castelo, a small town in northern Portugal for one night. The hotel was newly opened in 2004, and you can obviously smell the decoration, but the facilities are very new, the room is relatively spacious, and the windows can be opened for ventilation. Although there is no kettle in the room, there is a water dispenser on the first floor, which also provides hot water and coffee. The first impression of staying is very good. It is worth mentioning that there is freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast, and I give it full marks just for this reason. A restaurant at the port is a two-minute walk from the hotel. The design is very novel and you can enjoy delicious food while watching the train pass through the bridge. It is a great experience. The front desk service was also very enthusiastic. They also provided charging cables and helped to exchange money. Overall, I was very satisfied.

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The location is perfect, right in the center of the old town, making it very convenient to visit nearby attractions and restaurants on foot. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very good, driving from the ZF factory for3-5 minutes. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna, but it is too late to have time to go. Very good hotel, it is recommended.

Such a unique and period stay, stunning river views, amazing walks nearby and so many market towns and villages nearby with the beach a stone’s throw away by car. Would definitely repeat.
