Anshun Batik Museum Review

Batik is quite popular among the women of the Miao Buyi ethnic group in Anshun. The Miao pattern has a historical book nature, like armor, like text, or freehand, or abstract, and you can follow it; the Buyi people are mostly totem patterns, with sun patterns, cloud and thunder patterns, back patterns, copper drum patterns, continuous symmetry, simple and elegant. Watt dyeing fabrics are commonly used as dresses, waistlines, sheets, back fans, tents, bags, hats, fashions. All kinds of waxing crafts are the fashion pursued by Chinese and foreign tourists.

贵州蜡染文化博物馆前身是省文化厅组织的“贵州蜡染文化展览”，馆舍为贵州省重点文物保护单位——安顺府文庙。 蜡染，是我国古老的民间传统手工绘染艺术，历史悠久。至少在秦汉时代，西南地区的苗、瑶、布依等少数民族的先民就已发明和掌握了蜡染技术。这一工艺技术在后世得到进一步发展，并在贵州少数民族地区被保存下来，一直流传到今天。蜡染图案具有浓郁的民族色彩，是中国极富特色的一株民族艺术奇葩。
