[Xiejia Courtyard] is the private mansion of Xie Zihao Siuzhuang owner of the famous and rich party in Chongqing at the beginning of the last century. It has a typical late Qing architectural style. It uses a two-inch, small tile roof. The entrance is a patio and a hall. The backyard is a courtyard surrounded by a patio. On both sides of the old house, there was a patio room. It was not reserved after the renovation. The backyard was raised on the wall to symbolize wealth. The carved flowers on the corridor and windows showed the old style of everyone. The gate is eight characters facing the door, and the 4 words "Baoshu Chuanfang" on the door are mottled but can be recognized. The relevant people in the civil administration department speculated that the meaning of these four words, or Xie Yicheng bought the compound, has the intention of shining the door court. According to legend, more than 1600 years ago, Xie An and Xie Shi won the battle of Lishui to preserve the East Jin Dynasty. The emperor saw the big tree in front of Xie's house and said: This is Xie's treasure tree. Wang Bo of the Tang Dynasty "Tengwang Pavilion Preface" also has allusions: not Xie's family treasure tree, to the Meng's family. So later, Xie's family with financial resources will be carved "Baoshu Chuanfang" in the gate, Xiejiatang number is also called "Baoshutang". Standing outside the gate of Xiejia Courtyard, the courtyard is clearly layered, giving people a deep feeling of the courtyard. Entering the second door, the porch is a stone patio. The stone cylinder in the patio is beautifully carved, full of water and sparkling. In traditional large wooden buildings, the stone cylinder of water also has the function of a fire pool. The entire Xie family compound is divided into front hall, back hall, front hall welcome guests, discussion, back hall is a place to rest. On both sides are the van building as a bedroom, and there are wooden ladders up and down the corridor. Xie Yicheng's family lived upstairs, and the ring, servants, etc. lived downstairs. The house is crisscrossed with scarlet, ink and black, rich and magnificent. The moths are carved with exquisite faucet fish body and grape statues, the characters on the hanging patterns in the middle hall are lifelike, the poems on the woodcut patterns are also seen clearly, and the carved constructions everywhere are even more dizzying.
