According to Shizhi, the old name of the Zuyin Temple Penglai Courtyard (also known as the motherland Indian Courtyard), originally located in Penglai Township, Lushan Island (Lushan County), was founded in the fifth generation after Jintianfu five years (940 AD), and has a history of thousands of years to date. Zuyin Temple is a large-scale and long-standing temple. It is a key cultural relics protection unit and a key temple at the provincial level in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. It is known as the "Wengzhou No.1 Ancient Zen Forest". Located in the center of Dinghai City, the existing monasteries are arranged in turn on the central axis with mountain gates, heavenly kings, great palaces, and back halls. On the left of the central axis, there are drum towers, chambers, and chai halls. On the right of the central axis, there are chambers and bell towers. The building area of the temple is 2212 square meters and covers an area of 5125 square meters. Except for the reconstruction of the three departments in recent years, the rest are all Qing Dynasty buildings. Today, the ancient style of the Zuyin Temple is revived, the torch is restored, the sound is continued, the scripture is chanted, the Buddha is chanted, the cigarette is lingering, the morning bell and the evening drum, and the sea and mountains are shaken.
