I had an amazing experience visiting Tiger Leaping Gorge with Aether tours. Our tour guide Emily was very friendly and incredibly helpful throughout the entire trip. She made sure everything was smooth and well organized. A special thanks to our driver, 七林, who went above and beyond for us. He always arrived early, helped us with everything we needed，and even more! He assisted in buying tickets, helped us order food along the way to Shangri-La, and was always there when we needed support. Really appreciate both Emily and 七林 for making this trip so memorable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

The organizers were great, but the tour itself wasn't very organized. We booked it because we were supposed to return at 2:00 PM, but we actually arrived at 3:10 PM, and spent about two hours in the gorge itself. Lunch could have been omitted; no one in the group really ate it anyway. A complete waste of time.

The agent asked us to join group wechat with the driver. Driver contacted us via wechat one day before the trip as promised. The driver came to pick up us at the hotel on time. We left Lijiang 9am and take about 2.5hrs to get there(due to the road closure we had to take detour otherwise it should take less than 2hrs). We spend around 2hours in the tiger leaping gorge for coffee and short walk and photo. There is a nice coffee shop there for small snack and great coffee. Toilets are available and quite clean. When we reach there - there are 2options to go down to the platform near the river (walking by yourself via ladder about 100metres or pay a fee for escalator). We went on last week of december, the water is clear with light blue color. The temperature is around 10-15c with small windy. We back to the hotel in Lijiang around 3PM (2 hours travel). The driver not speak much but did what we expected. Overall it is a nice spot to visit if you come to Lijiang.

The driver was very nice, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. I feel that Baishuitai is the most worthwhile stop on the entire Northwest Yunnan route. Here are some unedited, unfiltered photos for your reference. The driver gave us plenty of time to explore and never rushed us 😂. There were no set meeting times; we could play until we wanted, and rest on the bus when we got tired. It's definitely worth signing up for!

The time of departure is earlier than what was advertised. I was pick up at 05:50H. You need to download WeChat to be able to communicate to the Driver. I was able to meet younger Chinese who knows how to speak in English and we become friends 😁 They are the one who explain to me what was happening, also the Driver/tour guide will message you in WeChat to make sure you understand. There are extra payment if you wanted to ride horse going around.It was amazingly gorgeous experience. You’ll pay ¥150 yuan but it was worth the price. In leaping tiger gorge there’s an extra ¥70 yuan for elevator used but it’s optional. The itinerary is a bit different from what was advertised but it’s was worth the price & we ended the tour around 7pm. Lastly, listen to driver than trip com message. The trip state I’ll be pick up @6:30 but the driver stated 0550 at the pick up Point & he was there. Good thing I’m ready.The lunch was delicious & fun we dance 💃 Asa solo traveler this activityRecommended 💯

A very good and convenient tour! The tour guide 张云孙 Zhang Yun-sun was amazing, I don’t speak Chinese so he was very helpful with me, he was looking for me and using the traductor to help me to understand! The price is very good because you can go to all the places in a very convenient car, also the timing of the intinerary is very good. In fact, my tour group was a little bit slow than it was expected and he changed everything for our group and wait for us to be more convenient. He is a really nice guy and I really recommend this, it’s very safe and convenient for any kind of travelers, mostly for the solo travelers!!! Highly recommend!!! ✨✨🙌🏻
