We went to Maggies spot for the marble carving class and had an amazing time! It was such a beautiful and refreshing way to relax and be creative on our honeymoon. Could even see Mount Zas in the background! Maggie helped us pick our marble pieces and practice our techniques on another slab before using our own. Her guidance, and assistance, helped us create two great pieces to bring home. Gave us a new appreciation for other marble sculptures we later saw on the trip.★

It was a lovely day out with a bit of history about the farm and the local farming practices used on the island, such as collecting eggs and exploring the vineyards and farming areas around the farm, learning about the olive trees, and the vineyard trees fo different fruits that we got to sample some of the grapes and pomegranate that were growing strongly. We had a traditional Naxian meal after the lovely walk through the farm, having the group we were with process the ingredients and chat and enjoy the family hospitality.
We loved the meal we had and enjoyed the time we spent there. The trip was just over 4 hours, and it flew by.
The hosts sent over the recipes for us to try at home after the day, which we plan to make soon.★

Everything is great, the city is pleasant, the wall is cool and very beautiful. I recommend taking a boat ride; it's a very scenic ride and you can also see the city in the evening. The only thing I recommend is to definitely take the CABLE CAR BOTH WAYS UP and DOWN; we didn't take the return trip. And in the end, we overpaid a lot. We could have gotten it for 180 yuan roundtrip, but our guide Lucy didn't warn us that there wouldn't be enough time to walk down, and besides, we were very tired. However, for another group, the guide explained everything in more detail about the descent. In the end, we paid 130 yuan for the ascent + 130 yuan for the descent (260 yuan for the whole trip). We overpaid by 80 yuan. If you go on your own, you'll pay even more; all tours with a guide are much cheaper. They only accept Alipay; they don't accept cards or cash.★

Thank you to our tour guide, Cheche, for making our day so enjoyable. Before we set off, the guide explained the itinerary very clearly, gave us a history lesson about the Simatai Great Wall on the bus, and patiently made sure everyone knew how to explore the area after we got off. The scenic area is truly beautiful, with chubby and adorable cats everywhere. The off-season meant fewer crowds, which made it easier to take photos. Personally, I think the Simatai Great Wall is a must-see; it's truly breathtaking.
