It can be called the throat of the ancient Sichuan Road. It forms the only passage connecting the north and the south. Mingyue Gorge was originally called Chaotian Gorge. Later, the literati of the Ming and Qing dynasties changed the name to Mingyue Gorge. Then it was dubbed as the “Transportation Museum of China”.
