I didn't know he was from Susa.
I sometimes used Susa Station and noticed that there was this monument in front of the station. I didn't know anything about a person named Takemasa Tezuka, but I visited here and read this inscription and learned a lot. It was wonderful to think that someone had achieved such a great achievement from this small town.

It is a monument to Takemasa Tezuka, who is said to be the father of the timetable. It is built in front of Susa Station on the Sanin Main Line. He is from Susa. There are materials at the nearby Susa Folk Museum.
