Keyhole shaped tumulus
For many people it is just an old tomb, but as I am interested in archeology, it is quite appealing. It is supposed that this burial mound was constructed in the send half of the 6th century. Before i...
The other day, when I stopped by while walking around the northern foot of Mitano, there was some kind of festival fuss. I thought something was going on, but it was an autumn harvest festival. On the stage, children and elementary school students in Mizunawa School District performed wonderfully. In the tent village, special products are exhibited and sold and rice cake making competitions. I think the ancestors who slept in the tumulus were also very happy.
When I drove from Kurume to Ukiba in early February, I refreshed here. The outside temperature was around 5 ℃, but it was blessed with good weather, and the view of Chikugo Plain & Asakura no Yama 々 was perfect. After all, this is perfect for taking a break while driving.
I used it as a break point during the drive in early September. The time is before 9:30 on Sunday morning. It was fine, but the air was still a little cold. The park is all green. Of course unmanned. The mountain road is also a scene. Qing 々 I was able to refresh myself. This is Kofun Park, but I was impressed with my family and two people, wondering if there was such a way to use it.
It is a historical park related to the nationally designated historic site "Tashumaru Otsuka Kofun". The location is Tashumaru & Along the mountain road that runs almost east and west in the Ukiba area. A park with a pure park on the plain side across the road and an old burial mound on the mountain side. The catch of this tumulus is "the largest front and rear burial mound in Kyushu", but it is characterized by a moderate size, which is just right for a match point with the front and the rear circles. You can go around the tumulus in 10 minutes. It is a recommended spot for the tumulus freak. ... when I visited the park the other day.
