Tianfei Palace is an important municipal cultural relics protection unit in Songjiang Fangta Park. I just visited the Liuhe Tianfei Palace site in Liuhe last week. Maybe it was because of the sea. The fishermen who went out to sea believed in Mazu and formed Mazu culture.
The only Mazu Temple in Shanghai is not in the Songjiang Fangta. It is said that it was migrated from the city. According to our speculation, it should have been built on the Shanghai city wall, and there are many Mazu introductions around the Tianfei Palace.
The tower can be near the Tianfei Palace, the only Mazu Temple relics in Shanghai. The palace of Songjiang Tianfei Palace is handsome, flying wing corner, pedestal is open, steps are open, the face is wide, the corridor is rounded back, the beams are thick, the beams are heavy, the magnificent, the Sensenran, the temple is solemn. The sculpture is exquisite and gorgeous, reflecting the characteristics of the late Qing architecture.
I went to Fangta Garden when I was a child. It has been twenty or thirty years. I have the impression that there is a tower in the Fangta Garden. I didn't expect that there is a Tianfei Palace to worship Mazu. Generally, Mazu is a coastal city.
The Tianfei Palace in Songjiang Fangta Garden is the only Mazu Temple in Shanghai! The brick and wooden structure of the main hall, the interior is gorgeously carved, and the Mazu Niang is sitting in the middle of the main hall. The incense stove in front of the hall is constantly smoked. Standing on the steps in front of the wide hall, it is a good perspective to see the opposite tower. On the opposite side of the front of the hall, there is a painting wall, carved several brick works related to the legend of Mazu Niang.
