Tainan

There is an old saying in Taiwan: “To know Taiwan, you must begin with Tainan.” Tainan was the old capital city of Taiwan and has many famous historical sites and ruins. Chihkan Tower and the ancient Anping Castle are both captivating architectural antiquities from the time of Koxinga that have become part of the city's wonderful character. Of course, some people will be drawn here to track down a taste of Tainan's idol dramas, go to the night market for a big dinner, or to experience a bit of the artistic and literary flavor. You could easily devote a day to exploring the area on your own on foot and experiencing the friendliness of the people. It's very easy to fall in love with Tainan.
