Photos of Liberation Pavilion

Jiefang Pavilion is located in the southeast corner of the original Jinan old city wall, on the east side of the Black Tiger Spring, across the moat and facing the Black Tiger Spring. The site of the pavilion is the siege breakthrough of the 1948 Jinan Campaign, when the People's Liberation Army captured Jinan (the specific time is September 24, 1948). Later, when the old city wall was demolished due to urban construction, the people of Jinan specially built a majestic liberation pavilion on the old city site here to commemorate the liberation of Jinan. In 1965, a 10-meter-high stone platform was built, but the construction was stopped after the "Cultural Revolution". The pavilion was built on the stage in 1985 and completed on September 24, 1986. Jiefang Pavilion is a provincial key cultural relic protection unit in Shandong Province and one of the bases for patriotism education in Jinan. Standing on the Jiefang Pavilion, people can pay tribute to the martyrs and heroes.
