Photos of The National War Memorial

The 21-meter-high monument is so striking that it can be seen from a few blocks away. Below the monument are 22 bronze statues representing 22 martyrs. Each bronze statue is 2.44 meters high, and their uniforms and weapons are exactly the same as those of the year. Every day, the Royal Guard stands guard under the monument, and every November 11th is Canada's Remembrance Day, when a solemn commemoration is held here. The monument is surrounded by tulips, cedars and other plants, which looks solemn and beautiful.
