First time here and despite all the reviews I decided to try it because we wanted to go to the beach. First issue was that the card swipe machine was not available but luckily I brought cash. Tickets cost AED 70 per person (including lounge chairs and umbrellas) and I had a AD 140 with my teenage son. It looked good at first, with small restaurants, beach shops and toilets (dirty, I didn’t want to use it). We walked through the wood trail to the beach area but it was very disappointing. We arrived at about 9:45 and all the front lounge chairs were full so we chose the back row lounge chairs. The lounge chairs were dirty and needed to be thoroughly cleaned. The parasols were a bit broken and dirty too. A beach staff came over and opened the parasol for us but said nothing. We brought food and drinks and were ready to stay here for a few hours. We laid our towels on the lounge chairs and lay on them looking out at the sea. The water was transparent for the first few hours and we could even see a lot of small fish. After that the ocean became cloudy and there was seaweed and foam everywhere. We even found faeces on the beach! The tourists here quickly grew more, cigarette butts were everywhere on the beach, and as a non-smoker it made me feel disgusting and unenvironmental. It was a pity that this could have been a good place to relax. After 3 hours we decided to leave. We were disappointed here and the experience was not good. The management of the beach should spend money to renovate and keep the place clean. Will not be back for a while.
