The Hagia Sophia Church is located in Harbin City, is a relatively large Orthodox church in the Far East, with a height of 721 square meters and a typical representative of Byzantine architecture. In November 1996, it was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country; In June 1997, the church of Hagia Sophia was restored and renamed the Harbin City Architectural Art Museum. In 1903, with the completion of the Middle East Railway, the Fourth Infantry Division of East-West Russia invaded Harbin. In order to stabilize the military heart of soldiers far from home, Russia broke ground in 1907 to build the Church of Saint Sophia, a church with a wooden structure.
