St. Nicholas' Church Museum

St. Nicholas Church, located near the Berlin Government Building, is a very old church in Berlin. It is now a church museum with a ticket of 5 yuan. In order to understand the history of Berlin Church in Germany, there are many visitors here every day.

St. Nicholas Church was built in about 1165. Located at the intersection of two important trade routes, East-West and North-South, the church was built in memory of Nicholas, the patron saint of medieval wholesalers and traders. Today, it is still situated in the downtown office building to welcome visitors from all over the world. Seen from the west, the church was originally built in Roman style. In the early 16th century, it expanded and built a Gothic Cathedral hall, which has remained until now. The design of the coconut tree pillars in the church is very impressive. The magnificent decorations on the ceiling, the patterns and the long rows of seats in the church are also very remarkable. Artist A. F. Oeser created three paintings for the church, which were displayed on the porch and the temple. The pattern of peace angels on the altar is very rare. There are scenes of the New Testament Bible in the temple, and Jesus is described as a human teacher (south) and God's incredible son (north). These two basic pictures of Jesus were different in that era and today.

It's near the red Berlin City Hall. The church is small, but very, very old. It has a history of more than 300 years. The church is free. Just go in and have a quiet visit, and then come out quietly.

The church was built in 1165 and named Nikolai because it was the patron saint of wholesalers and traders in the Middle Ages, and the site was in the center of the trade passages at that time, so it was built.
