I think you can feel the awesomeness and greatness of plaster artist Chohachi Irie. The parking lot is on the front and the opposite side, and the parking lot opposite is large and has a public toilet, which is convenient. I think it would be good to go to the Chohachi Memorial Hall (Jogan Ji Temple) nearby.
It opened in 1984 as "Stucco and Painting Hall of Fame: Chohachi Museum of Art in Izu". About 50 works by Chohachi Izu (Chohachi Irie), who was from Matsuzaki and named himself as a master craftsman in the Edo period, are on display. The exterior of this museum was also magnificent, but the interior is also luxurious. The profitability side is never taken. The dome on the ceiling that climbs the stairs is decorated with a plaster statue of "a heavenly woman with flowers". I am surprised at the size. Look at the exhibits, this ...
The admission fee is 500 yen (there is a discount on JAF and the Web, etc.), but it is a very compact museum, and if you don't watch the video near the exit, the net stay time is about 15? To be honest, I can't deny the lack of highlights. At first, magnifying glasses to see delicate plaster paintings were also interesting, but I'm getting tired of it. Is the sale about a large parking lot and free? If it is not for parking, the value of visiting is questionable ...
I was looking for a tourist destination in the case of rain and I found it, but when I looked it up, it was interesting and the weather was blessed, but I decided to incorporate it into my schedule. After receiving an explanation from the staff at the entrance, I was able to borrow the prepared magnifying glass and take a closer look at the work while reading the commentary. A video was screened in the hall, which helped me understand. The plaster art was wonderful.
It is a museum that collects works by Chohachi Irie, who is known for the fusion of art with a left-handed officer called Fusuma-e. The modern building with the image of plaster was interesting in contrast to the nearby Super Hachi Memorial Hall. Chohachi's works can be seen everywhere in inns and Iwaka school, so I think it's fun to look around.

The building is too good for the work.

It's worth a look.
