The front desk office of the hotel is super hard to find. I can't communicate in English. All of my son, a junior high school student, asked six or seven people and found the hotel front desk. They have already got off work, then they called and called us to find a green one. The button door, the key is that the door is not in the hotel yard, on the side of the building facing the road, we found it for a long time to find, then direct us to open a password box, and finally got the room key, I advise you, if I don't know a word of English. We love to self cater when we travel and the apartment here ticked all the boxes. Love a generic chain place where you know what you are going to get. This place has a Hobart twist - its in the old telephone exchange building with high ceilings and casement windows. We had a huge mural of the waterfront on the main lounge wall which added to the local flavour. You will have to request a hotplate and pots and pans. These are not installed in the rooms due to fire regulations. Someone burnt their toast which set off the alarms and we had to evacuate the building one morning. Take note that your apartment wont get serviced unless you are longer than seven days. This place is close to Salamanca Place and the waterfront but a good walk to the supermarket in the CBD or along Sandy Bay Road. Its actually on the corner of Sandy Bay Road and Davies Street and the entrance is off the latter. We requested a quiet room and it was perfect. We stayed here six nights all up and will return on our next trip to Hobart.

Salamanca Terraces is a fantastic location. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment - very large bedrooms, bathroom and separate laundry on top levels, open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room on lower floor with separate toilet. Everything you could need, very clean. We were more than happy here and would definitely stay again. Great place and you cannot beat the location- restaurants next door and markets 1 minute away on Saturday. Tip: check-in is as Lenna which is just across the road and up a little but the hill is steep, if there are a few people I would recommend sending one person to check in and leave the others outside the Salamanca Terraces. Great accommodation, enjoy.

We spent 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment in Salamanca Suites. 2 spacious bedrooms one with ensuite and other with bathroom straight across hall. Well appointed apartment in excellent location at reasonable price. would definitely recommend for a stay in Hobart. Very short walk to Salamanca Markets, restaurants and wharf area.
