The room was great with an amazing sea view, and it's super close to Dadonghai. The service was excellent, and the value for money was outstanding. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I'm in Sanya. Due to my itinerary, I only stayed for three days, but waking up to the beautiful scenery outside the window every day really brightened my mood.

Before I dive into my review, I should preface it by saying that I usually stay at Orange and HUAZHU hotels (like Ji Hotel and Orange Hotel). The W Hotel in Chengdu was the only five-star hotel I've ever experienced. So, if you regularly stay at hotels costing thousands or tens of thousands of yuan a night, my review might not be relevant to you.
For those with OCD or who struggle with choices, if you want to know what the specific views are like or what the rooms actually look like, there are two ways: First, look up a user named 'Sanya Ascott jayson' on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book). They've posted floor plans for various room types and highlighted the differences between them. Second, simply Google 'Ascott' and you'll find an online 3D virtual tour website.
I stayed for five days, and personally, I felt the bedsheets were much cleaner and less coarse than those at Huazhu hotels, making for a very comfortable sleep. Regarding service, you only get a butler (who can help with urgent requests and delivering items) if you book through Trip.com. Bookings made via Xianyu or other platforms *do not* include butler service!!! (Because you can't leave a negative review, which means there's no threat to the hotel's reputation). Hotels in Sanya really care about their Trip.com ratings! Also, when confirming a package booked via Xianyu at the restaurant, I felt like they knew I'd booked through Xianyu. The staff had to call to confirm for a while, and their expressions seemed a little odd. If you want to book cheaply but still enjoy full service, you can do what I did: book one night through Trip.com and the other nights through Xianyu, making sure to link the bookings. On a side note, as someone from Chongqing, I really wish they had spicy boiled beef slices (水煮肉片) and unlimited steamed buns with condensed milk (金银馒头 style) for breakfast.
Overall, the service is definitely better than at Orange or Ji Hotels. If you need something, it's delivered almost instantly. They automatically clean your room when you're out, and even neatly arrange your belongings. The air conditioning is never turned off; all rooms in five-star hotels, even unoccupied ones, have the AC running, so it's always cool when you return.
Tips: If you think the elevator is fast, it's because there are no 4th, 13th, or 14th floors. We stayed on the 18th floor, which was actually the 15th floor. Room numbers also omit 4 and 13.
During the day, there are many Didi SUV premium cars waiting downstairs to pick up passengers. A family of four won't have trouble getting a ride. The entrance road is shared with Qingneng, Junji, Autograph, and JW Marriott, with JW Marriott at the very end of the road.
Finally, a huge thank you to my butler, Xiao Xu. He was very enthusiastic, had a great attitude, and high emotional intelligence. Communicating with him was very pleasant, making our Sanya trip incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend choosing Xiao Xu!

The front desk staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and kindly helped me with my numerous bags 😊. He was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are located in different buildings depending on the room type, but they're not far from each other. I stayed in building C, which was a mid-rise, and the elevator wait wasn't too long. The room had a fresh, clean style, and from the side of the balcony, you could even catch a glimpse of the sea near Coconut Dream Corridor, haha. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was a small kitchen next to it, equipped with a spatula, bowls, a cutting board, knives, and a rice cooker. It was quite well-stocked, though you need to buy your own condiments. Although the weather wasn't great today, it was still better than rain – even a cloudy Dadonghai looks beautiful 😁

This hotel is located in the heart of Dadonghai, within walking distance to the beach and surrounded by various dining options. It's an older apartment complex, but the room maintenance is surprisingly excellent. The room itself is very spacious with abundant natural light, and almost every room offers a sea view. All amenities and equipment are readily available and, more importantly, they are all in good working order. While it might not have the luxurious feel of a five-star hotel, it's definitely a highly cost-effective choice for families traveling together. There are plenty of parking spaces downstairs; even if you return late at night and the surface parking is full, the underground garage has ample parking, so you never have to worry about finding a spot. The check-in and check-out process was also seamless. Highly recommended!

Our stay this time was absolutely perfect! I had originally booked a standard room, but upon arrival, the hotel thoughtfully upgraded us to a Thai-style villa free of charge, which was such a wonderful surprise! The villa featured high, wooden ceilings that were incredibly stylish, and the living room was spacious and comfortable. The Thai-style soft furnishings were tastefully arranged, with blue and white throw pillows complementing the solid wood furniture perfectly. Being in the room felt like a Southeast Asian getaway, the atmosphere was just incredible.
Not only was the hardware superb, but the service was also impeccable. From check-in to everyday needs, the staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Their response time was quick, and they even proactively asked about our needs and offered suggestions for activities. The care in every detail made us feel especially welcome. The bedding in the room was soft and skin-friendly, and the bathroom facilities and amenities were all high-quality; you could really feel the hotel's dedication in every detail. The surrounding environment was serene, surrounded by lush greenery, offering a truly immersive holiday experience. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time!

This year's Haikou is really warm winter! ! ! I also encountered good weather when I met the closure. The family lived super comfortable and had a warm Spring Festival. The housekeeper is very enthusiastic, the apartment is in a good location, close to Yundong and the arcade, and it takes ten minutes to walk. There are still few people during the Spring Festival, and we have a great time. The room is large and the apartment is hygienic to this extent. We are very satisfied. Very suitable for families to travel with children, the space is large and enough to play.
The suite had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, perfect for families with elders and children. My partner and I found it incredibly comfortable, just like being at home. It was also very clean. The location is excellent, right next to Atlantis, making it super convenient for trips to Wuzhizhou Island and the Duty-Free Mall. One day, our TV broke, and the housekeeper thoughtfully helped us fix it. Plus, we had a lovely sea view! I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Sanya. The value for money is outstanding!

The location is incredibly convenient, with a bustling commercial district right downstairs and all the amenities you could ask for. You can shop during the day, enjoy entertainment at night, and savor authentic local flavors from a variety of restaurants just steps away, without having to travel far. This prime location will make your trip to Haikou easy and enjoyable, truly letting you experience the vibrancy and convenience of the city center.

HHweiling OwThe place was hard to find. There are tonnes of shop lots at the bottom of one entrance, and the other entrance had a large open area with stairs that goes up. The security guard I asked did not recognise the name, and there is no obvious signs that I could pick up. (I cannot read mandarin). I dont think there was any other way aside from contacting the person via the app. Even if you found the entrance, there is no obvious reception area.
We had to ring the contact person on the Trip.com app, and I had family who could speak mandarin to help guide the rest of the process. He is helpful and quick to respond. He brought us through a metal door, to a dark alleyway with lifts inside. If we weren't in a group of seven, I would have worried about my organs at this point.
There was a bit of a juggle with my cousins and my side of the family. So I ended up staying in the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT. The layout of the three bedroom apartment (located on the 18th floor) that we ended up in is similar to the two bedroom apartment with the lounge carved up to create a new bedroom. apartment is quick to respond. The two bedroom apartment (located on the 25th floor) felt bigger and cleaner, and had better views.
From here onwards, it is the review for the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT: We ran out of toilet paper and had air-conditioning issues. The contact person is quick to respond and solve our issues. The beds are hard for my body that is use to a softer version. There is no daily cleaning services that suits us. They supply toothbrushes, shower caps, body and shampoo wash in the bathroom, and disposable towels. The towels can be reused during the time you are there, but they are meant to be thrown away so they dont have the responsibility to rewash the towels. We didn't use the swimming pool on the third floor as we were too busy. It is RMB4 per use. They also supply a singular giant bottle of water. I think it was 5 litres. The air conditioning units in all three rooms work. Our view is a live view of how Sanya people live in Sanya, families in another building, the locals sitting on their balcony on a hot day.
You get a couple of tags to tag into the building, out of the building, into the lift, and into the bedroom. There is also a code you can type in to get access into the building. When we left, the contact person helped us with getting a taxi to the hotel. It went through his account and we paid him cash rounding up to the closest amount. He did not want any more for helping us. He was extremely helpful.
This is one of the cheaper choices in Sanya - and my rating is for the price and location.

AAnonymous UserI have mixed feelings about this place. The best part is the location. You are on a main road with many shops, restaurants and bus stops as well as the beach. I also liked the pool despite it being a little too shallow. The view from my balcony was also great.
One problem was cleanliness. Never walk around the room barefoot cause your feet will get dirty. It also looked like the crockery and kitchen utensils were not cleaned before I arrived. As you can see some of the utensils were dusty!
Hot water was another issue. Obviously you need hot water to properly wash your hands and dirty dishes. However I only had hot water in the shower, not in the kitchen nor bathroom sink.
This leads to my next issue which is service. I told the staff about the lack of hot water on the Friday and they said they would fix it at some point during the day while I am out with my friend. I come back at roughly 9pm to find out there is still no hot water. On Saturday morning I remind them to fix it before I go out again, hoping when I return I will have hot water. While I'm at the beach I miss a call from them. Turns out instead of fixing the issue, they want to move me to another room with hot water. When I return from the beach I saw the message and told them I am ready to move to the new room. But they replied saying I was too late and they gave the room to someone else. (If I did take that room, does that mean the other guest would have my room and have to suffer with cold water instead of me?) Instead of taking responsibility for not providing hot water or trying to fix it, the staff tried to blame me and said I can't get hot water cause I was too busy to answer their calls. When I pushed back on that comment their next excuse was that a lack of hot water is a common problem in Hainan? But then they said they would check if there was a free room with hot water the next day (Sunday). However, they never contacted me about that again so I just gave up trying. If they couldn't fix the problem, they could have at least offered me compensation but they didn't. This experience made me feel dismissed and unimportant as a paying guest.
To sum up, I wouldn't stay here again based on my experience. If they were to give me a room with hot water in the shower AND in both sinks, that's great. However, I would still have to deal with dirty floors and cookware + tableware. It's definitely not the worst place I've stayed in but regardless it didn't meet my standards so I still wouldn't stay here if I return to Sanya. Disappointing.

GGuest UserUnexpectedly good! As soon as we walked in, we saw the ocean – a truly beachfront view from the living room, bedroom, and of course, the balcony. Most importantly, the room was very clean and the sofa was comfortable. It's especially perfect for a family. I genuinely recommend it. Oh, and by the way, we were a family of four on this trip, and the two kids loved sharing a room.
GGuest UserSlowly packing my bags, I really appreciated the peaceful and elegant environment here. The water pressure was fantastic, making showers an absolute delight. The staff in the lobby were incredibly attentive, not only friendly but also offering thoughtful service that truly made an impression. Five stars all the way!

KKiean Kaih JohnsonOur transport got us to the wrong location the first time, but after calling the front desk, the reception lady was very kind to quickly zip over on an electric scooter and brought us to the correct location which was just about 100m away. There were locals staying in the apartment block too, some accommodations were rented out for tourists. Comfortable 2-room private apartment for 4 adults, with 2 rooms and double beds, 1 common shower, wash area and toilet. Kitchenette equipped with refrigerator, microwave, induction cooker, crockery, cutlery and some food preparation tools. Living/dining room had a TV, coffee table, 3-seater sofa, dining table and 4 chairs. Balcony had a washing machine with capsule detergent, drying rack, a couple of outdoor chairs. A nice sea view awaits with views of surrounding apartments. Morning/afternoon sun shone onto the balcony nicely, providing warmth and excellent for drying clothes. Need to request floormat at the shower area, digital lock was hard to open at times, remote for TV wasn't working but reception resolved quickly. You can link up with reception via WeChat for any queries or requests. At ground level there're just 1 or 2 grocery shops and about 3 eateries, but not very lively. About 10mins walk, you can reach a shopping mall/arcade with a very large supermarket and there you can get lots of snacks, drinks and a variety of other day to day items. Lots of eating places at the shopping mall too. Although the apartment is quite out of the way, just call DiDi as its very fast to arrive and took us to many places.

GGuest UserThe only redeeming quality of this place is its excellent location. Downstairs, you'll find a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of shops, restaurants, and a supermarket, and the beach is just a few hundred meters away.
However, the building itself is over a decade old and quite dated. The main entrance is restricted to residents, forcing others to use the parking lot entrance, which is inconvenient and a bit of a detour. The basement parking on B1 was an absolute dump, reeking terribly and overflowing with discarded furniture. Parking on the second and third floors was an option, but finding a spot was a nightmare as most were private. The parking fee was 15 RMB for 24 hours, but they charged extra for re-entry, which felt like a total rip-off. Adding to the frustration, the signage was incredibly poor, leading to a lot of wasted time driving around trying to find my way.
The room itself was quite old with many broken fixtures. Several door locks were faulty and couldn't be properly secured. Even the main security door was tricky to close, requiring a specific knack. There was no hot water from any of the faucets; you could only get it from the showerhead. To get even slightly hot water for a shower, the water heater often needed to be turned off and on again, and I had to ignite the boiler multiple times just to take a shower – it was incredibly frustrating and utterly bizarre! 😱 On top of that, several power outlets were problematic; devices would charge intermittently, or the charger wouldn't stay plugged in securely, meaning my phone didn't charge at all overnight.
To top it all off, there were no tissues or complimentary bottled water in the room. Thankfully, I had brought my own.

MM348920****My spouse and I had a truly comfortable stay in the family room. It was spacious, clean, and warmly decorated, with complete and practical facilities, making for an excellent living experience. The young lady and gentleman stewards provided enthusiastic and thoughtful service, with a kind and polite attitude. When I couldn't figure out how to use the washing machine, I sent a message and they immediately came to help, responding promptly and efficiently. They were meticulous and attentive throughout our stay, quickly and properly resolving any needs we had, making the entire check-in process easy and stress-free. The value for money is exceptional, and we'll definitely be back next time. Highly recommended!
BBaopiqidexiaoxiaowanziThe children are very satisfied with the room. We both have separate bedrooms. The balcony is large, and the laundry and drying racks are very good. There are separate laundry detergent bags. The air conditioner is effective and has a great view.
