Had a great stay at Paya Bunga Hotel, Terengganu. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Definitely a place I’d come back to. Highly recommended!

This is our second time here but surely will not repeat anymore. The first time i went oklah the service acceptable sbb baru buka, give a chance. So far ok. Second time i bring my families here plus its my anniversary date, ingat nak rileks2 lpas srabut kerja, bila datang ya ampunn makin serabut servicenya, aaaa first time dtg hotel 5 star rsa nk cepat2 balik.Service kaunter check in serabut ya aampun. Slow and steady 30-40 min duk kt lobby. Staff plak mcm intern ,girl yg putih2 tu. Tertukar bilik, tertukar nama booking, tertukar bilangan blk, connecting x available.dah 30minit urusan trace nama x settle2. Dhla kepala pening lpas naik bot, pastu dah settle, bg bilik jauh2 plak dah, ank kecik2 blk jauh, baik takpayah la sy ckp tukarkan la satu blk lagi tu jd credit point boleh guna utk dlm hotel, x boleh plak, last skali dpt la blk connecting. Yg settle lelaki pakai spek, tp ya ampunn customer servis out dengan muka serabut dia, muka nk marah, muka x de eye contact ngn customer. Dia kata x jauh mna pon blk ngn bangunan sebelah, aiii ank umur 3,4 taun, ingt pndai urus diri ke? Geramnya lah, kalau hotel lain, kalau mcm ni pnya first impression, dh ptt dpt free upgrade, tnggu pnya tnggu, ak ckp nk jmpa manager, dan2 ada connecting tu, jauhh dr adik bradik lainnn tapinya, dh masuk blk, happy anniversary nama org lain plakkk, nama adik aku,, dia tertukar! Pdahal booking asing2 tu. dh malam tu, x de eelctric la plak blk sbeleah, pagi bru call service nasib pantas.staff baku merah kt restorant tu snyumla skit dh mcm kna paksa keja ngn parents dh nengoknya, mknn can improve, average for hotel 5 stars yg sy pernah pergi,. After a 45-minute boat ride, we got off at the first stop and contacted the hotel for a pick-up. It was less than a 10-minute drive to the hotel. Next to the hotel, there's a local restaurant; their tomato fried rice was good, but the green beans were a bit undercooked. The prices were reasonable. The hotel's internal restaurant also served good food, so you can eat there if you don't want to go out. The hotel's buffet breakfast was quite lavish, and the kids loved it! The hotel has a yoga studio and a gym (you need to take the hotel's sightseeing car up the mountain), a kids' club, a trampoline, billiards, table tennis, manual mahjong, and foosball. Right outside the pool is a beach. If you want to go snorkeling (our diving times were 9 AM and 2 PM, arrive at the dive center 10 minutes early), you need to book in advance with the hotel, then go to the dive center behind the restaurant to get your gear and wait to depart. The hotel beach has many small crabs, and lots of small fish in the water; in deeper areas, there are bigger fish too. The hotel was very comfortable, and the kids didn't want to leave after 3 nights. We'll definitely come back to this hotel next time. Sometimes, monkeys appear on the room balconies, so try not to hang clothes out there, as they might be taken by the monkeys. The rooms are wooden cabins, so the facilities are a bit old, and many things showed signs of dampness and mold. The basic amenities are just okay; germaphobes probably wouldn't be able to stay here.

We were very delighted at the ease of bookings for our stay, speedboat transfers, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. The moment we arrived at Besut Jetty, they had their team to facilitate parking of our car and efficiently got us on the speedboat as it was raining earlier and might rain again in the afternoon. By the time we arrived and checked in, our rooms were ready, cleaned and smelled fresh too contrary with all the reviews I’ve read recently especially when it comes to peak season. All the amenities were there and functional. Even my city kids were impressed as they’ve stayed at other island resorts before. The ambience at night was very lively at the restaurant, friendly flying lemurs and squirrels, tasty variety dishes from the restaurant, fire show, swings by the beach. The recreational centre such as the kayak, snorkelling and scuba diving can be better for the premium rate that they are charging. Warning: check every calculation carefully as they have this NO REFUND policy. I would suggest for rental of games to make family holidays more fun on days when it is raining.

Very lovely clean comfortable apartment with everything very well provided. Great view and close to a wonderful beach

The location and sea view were really beautiful. However, the overall stay did not meet our expectations for a resort at this price range. The room floor felt quite oily upon arrival. We requested housekeeping in the morning, but they only came in the evening. We also had to specifically request vacuuming before it was done. When we asked for shower gel, they gave us another bottle of shampoo instead, even though shampoo was already provided. The same issue happened in our friends’ rooms too — no shower gel was provided at all. Luckily, we brought our own. One of our friends also experienced almost a 1-hour delay during check-in. Since there was already a delay from the hotel’s side, we requested a late check-out, but our request was ignored. Overall, the resort has a very nice location and amazing sea view, and the buggy service was good. However, the service and room maintenance need improvement to match the 4-star standard and pricing.

The room was spacious and clean, and there's a great snorkeling spot right next to the hotel. I especially appreciated the restaurant; the food was excellent, and every dish was exceptional. It's definitely one of the best restaurants I've tried during my years of traveling in Southeast Asia. Finally, a special thank you to Paul for taking care of every detail. I'll definitely go back if I have the chance.

Fantastic resort , suitable for couples, family and friends. Many activities to do during day time. Staff are well trained and so much respectful and helpful. Staff for activities are expert in their jobs (big thanks to hero ake, he took us in jungle trekking and it was great tour. Resort is well organized, almost everything is there. If I want to talk about pros i will never finish. Cons: really hard to spot the sunset from the resort. Buffet is medium although so many different dishes. Some activities accept only credit/debit cards while others always accept cash or put it under the your room. Check out is lil early (11 AM)

Great location, they upgraded our room for free. The room can accommodate a large family. Clean bedding, hot water. Helpful reception staff. The kitchen was already open on the 12th, so we ordered breakfast. The price was reasonable.

Stayed here for 3 days and booked the Cliff Bay Suite for my husband’s birthday, honestly it was such a memorable experience. From the start, everything felt well taken care of. A manager, Mei Ling was assigned to assist us, which made things very smooth. We arrived early and they kindly offered early check-in at 12PM-ish, so I could settle in and even continue working from the room, perfect little “work from hotel” moment. We were welcomed with tea, and when we entered the room, the aircond was already turned on, super cooling and refreshing after the journey. They also prepared a birthday cake with a sweet message on the table, which made the surprise feel complete. The room itself was beautiful, we got one of the highest floors, and the view was just amazing. Waking up to that ocean view really hits different. Amenities were top tier. They provided L’Occitane for shower, shampoo, and lotion, didn’t even need to use my own. Requested a refill the next day and they sent it over quickly in the morning, very efficient. The private beach is stunning and not crowded at all, which I really appreciated. Plenty of activities available too, free kayak, outdoor gym, and they can arrange dinner setups and snorkeling trips for you. Transport was also seamless, they picked us up from Kampung Redang jetty and sent us back during checkout, so everything felt hassle-free. Breakfast was great overall, quality and taste were there, but the variety was slightly limited. I was expecting a bit more selection, but still a very enjoyable spread. Overall, the views, service, and experience were just beautiful. Definitely a place I would come back to again when visiting Redang 🤍
