We had a great stay at the Crown Spa Hotel. All the staff were super friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were clean and fresh, we had a sea view. Meals in the Restaurant were very good value and excellent quality. We had treatments in the Spa, the Girls were super friendly, welcoming and chatty. We will certainly be returning.

me ,my partner booked unexpectedly with the dog we booked a room with no window as it was cheaper but as we had the dog (extra10) we got a room with a window, the bathroom was small but nice and clean as was the room

Nice location. Big playground at the size , very suit who have the little one. Hiking hill at the side.

At the moment the Royal Hotel is undergoing a multi-million pound renovation project so some rooms that still need a little TLC is only to be expected. I stayed in a standard single with sea view and what a view it was. That alone was worth every penny I paid and, for Whitby, it was a bargain. The room itself was more than adequate and, with the exception of a bedside table for my phone and drink, it had everything I needed. The bathroom was massive, bigger than my own at home so no complaints there either. Whether you want your room cleaned or not, every day a package of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and toilet roll is left for you and if you need anything else, including any essentials you may have forgotten, you just need to ask at reception. We were all even gifted an Easter egg on Easter Sunday which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. The hotel itself is really lovely and I can highly recommend The Fat Badger restaurant and bars downstairs and every single member of staff I spoke to was lovely and extremely helpful. The only downside to booking The Royal Hotel is the climb back up on an evening but it's a very small price to pay for the best views in town.

Nice hotel good location, great reception and balcony, however, pool and spa is an extra cost which wasnt apparent to us, the whole room could do with a bit more renovation if picky, and parking is a nightmare, with permits being £10 untill 1:30 next afternoon and thats if you can even get a space outside the hotel, good luck to you! Overall though a nice stay for 2 nights

The parking was straight across the road or at back of hotel which was excellent the room was nice and clean shower worked perfectly ample storage space a very nice stay will be back 👍

A Lovely Hotel.  In a Fantastic Location with Great Views.  Kind, Friendly and Helpful Staff.  Lovely Bright Room, Well Appointed and Very Clean and Tidy.  Plenty of Storage.  Quiet Too.  The Room Had An Ironing Board and Iron, An Electric Fan, An Extra Stand Alone Heater, A 'Tassimo' Coffee Maker, A Kettle and Plenty of Tea/Coffee/Sugar Etc.  The Bathroom was Very Modern with A Powerful Shower.  Just Around The Corner There Are Some Excellent Cafés, A Fish& Chip Shop and A Convenience Store.  Across The Road Is A Charming Park.   I Really Enjoyed My Stay and Shall Return.

From the moment you arrive, the friendly atmosphere is palpable, making you feel right at home. Owner are happy to accommodate your needs, ensuring you kick off your day just the way you like. Cosy room with delightful view. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Whitby. Its location, combined with genuinely warm hospitality and comfortable rooms, makes for a memorable stay.

Hotel room was lovely. The location was ideal as we were at a concert at the open air theatre. Always were given all the information and had great communication with owners. Room was lovely and spacious. Bathroom was clean. The bath was cracked on the corner but was still functional. The bed was very comfy and the other amenities were really good too. Definitely will stay again.

Beautiful spot, however upon getting to my room the one of the lights wasn’t working, The toilet brush was disgusting with toilet roll all over it. There was a hole in the floor in The bathroom and it didn’t look clean at all. However the hotel its self was lovely, with gorgeous views over the sea, friendly staff and the food was brilliant!
