It was an impressive and pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a family room, which was perfect for our trip, very spacious and with great view. The bed mattress is one of the best in all my experience. I had great sleep during the stay. The cleanliness of the room was ok. The location is very convenient if you are driving - 20 mins drive to the walking trails and 10 mons drive to centre of Sheffiled. David from the restaurant provided highly professional and helpful service for our breakfast. All in all, we would consider staying at this hotel again if we visit this area again.

Great location, husband and father in law stayed the night before a visit to see the Vulcan. The room was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the food was superb (best fish & chips theyve had for a long time). They both had a great time and would definitely recommend.

We were surprised how nice the hotel is for the price we paid. I went with an old friend for a mid-week city break in Sheffield. The hotel is pretty close to theb train station and we walked there easily with our wheeled suitcases. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful The bathroom had a bath and a shower; the bedroom itself was a decent size. I don't think the electronic safe was working correctly, or maybe it was used error, not sure about that, lol. There was a fridge in the room which was great and unexpected; the wi-fi was also excellent. The staff were friendly, and we could get more coffee, tea and milk from reception. We didn't go to the gym or spa, we did go swimming and it's a lovely, big, well heated pool. There were also two steam rooms, a sauna, an ice room and a discovery shower (a hot or cold shower with four sprays and red and blue lights). There wasn't a machine to spin the swimwear in, but there were polythene bags for wet swimwear. A lovely touch in the gym reception was a coffee machine, where you could sit down and have a free cappucino or whatever your fancy is. We got the train to Meadowhall which took 5 mins and cost £2.90 return (with our senior rail cards). Some locals said the tram was even easier, but we found the train easy enough and very fast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a city break in Sheffield.

This is the 2ed time staying here for 2 nights the price is ok the room is clean you get free tea and coffee in your room the breakfast is good value for money I believe it’s 15 pounds per person there is lots of fresh fruit cereal, a cooked breakfast as much tea and coffee as you like we didn’t go into the park this time as I have been in the wildlife Park before with my daughter this time we were visiting family the wildlife Park is amazing the staff at the Hex Hotel are super friendly . And professional. The only thing I would say negative about the hotel is checking after 4 pm. And you have to be out of the room by 10 am. I think check-in should be from 2 pm then that gives you a little bit longer in the room and maybe check out 11 am but apart from that I can’t fault this place but if you want to do an earlier check-in, they charge you £30. And if you want to upgrade your room, they charge you £15 per night to upgrade. . The shower is absolutely amazing. You have a rain shower and a smaller shower. You get two massive bath towels, two hand towels also shower gel body cream soap. That are individually. I will definitely be coming back and staying again. A short taxi ride into Doncaster town Centre where there is lots of bars that play music if you’re into that there’s also a designer outlet not far from the hex hotel. .

DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City was exactly what I needed during my business trip. Comfortable, reliable, and quietly kind. From the moment I arrived, the check-in was smooth and welcoming, and that first warm cookie felt like a small but genuine gesture of care after a long journey. The location is convenient, close to the city centre yet peaceful enough to rest. It made moving between meetings and personal time easy, something I truly appreciated. The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the lighting soft, and everything worked perfectly. It was not about luxury, but about thoughtful comfort that helps you recharge. Breakfast offered a good variety and the restaurant had a calm atmosphere that made mornings feel easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive. What stood out the most was the consistency. Every part of the stay felt dependable and well cared for. That sense of steadiness made it easy to relax and focus on the purpose of the trip. My stay at the Rutland Hotel was really pleasant. The staff were friendly and kind; the lady at the check-in desk was particularly lovely, and I was lucky enough to get the last available parking space! I thought the room was perfect for a solo traveler, providing me with a comfortable base after a day of exploring the city before attending a show the following day. Everywhere was clean and tidy. I made use of the facilities, enjoying a relaxing shower and winding down in my pyjamas with an episode of Midsomer Murders (each room has a tv and wifi). I ordered room service and the curry was tasty. The only downside was that the room was really hot throughout the night. Even with the provided fan running and the window and curtains left open, it remained uncomfortably warm. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again, but hopefully not in a room so hot!! To the staff - thank you for being so lovely :)

This is a good budget hotel, especially if you want to stay near to city centre or Rotherham general hospital 😊 The bedroom and bathroom are really spacious. There are basic stuffs available.😊 The parking is really spacious and free for 24 hours.😊 There is problem with temperature regulation of bathroom, especially shower. 😔  There wasn’t any towel available, so I rang them and they told me that they will bring one within 5 minutes, which neither arrived nor we were communicated about. If you can’t provide then just tell the customer it’s not available.😔 And there is no slipper available in bathroom/room. These are just reminder for someone willing to stay at a budget price in this hotel. 😔  Overall this was a good deal for me to spend a night near to Rotherham general hospital.😀😀

Nice clean hotel, spacious room, comfortable bed, everything you need. I had an issue with the radiator on the first night as it just wouldn't turn off, this was quickly sorted once I told a member of staff. On my last night I couldn't get into my room with the keycard, it was already gone midnight so I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep, It took 2 trip's to reception from the top floor before this was resolved which left me quite annoyed. On my last morning I paid for breakfast, It was a little disappointing, very basic selection on the continental side and the sausages were very poor quality and couldn't eat. There is however a Toby carvery across the road where I had breakfast the day before at a cheaper price, I would recommend going there instead

Really happy with the stay, we had a bit of an incident with a broken down car and my son arriving late to meet us, we asked if we could accomodate my son rather than him going to his shared accomadation. Reception couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was great, (especially the make your own waffles), rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Will definitely come back.

This hotel is hilariously bad… In a nutshell, great facilities but terrible service. 1. I asked the hotel to wash a pair of pants. I double-checked with the front desk, and they confirmed it would be delivered to my room before 6 PM. When I got back at 6:30 PM, it wasn't there. At 7:30 PM, I went downstairs only to find the pants at the front desk… no one ever brought them up. 2. When I returned to my room at 6:30 PM, I noticed that while the room was tidied, the toilet paper hadn't been replenished. Thinking I needed other amenities, I scanned the QR code on my phone to request them. The QR code actually worked today (unlike yesterday), but an hour after I made the request, nothing was delivered. Remembering the ridiculous experience on the phone yesterday, I went downstairs to the front desk to get them. Even then, it took another 15 minutes for them to be brought up. 3. The boiled eggs at breakfast weren't even cooked through – the egg whites were still runny… This really confirms it's a hotel with no service. The only positives: great location and newly renovated.
