"The apartment was better than I expected. The room was tidy and new, and the price was good value compared to other places nearby. It's a 5-minute walk to the subway station, which was perfect for us as we were out early and back late. The only downside is that it's close to the main street, so there's some traffic noise, but my husband and I are both heavy sleepers, so we didn't mind. Highly recommended."

Inspired by the vibrant urban tapestry of Athens, it weaves a narrative through materials, colours, and textures. Marble lends a timeless quality and is reminiscent of the city’s ancient monuments. Great
AAnonymous UserStayed in February 2026. Great location for sightseeing in the Acropolis.
I read the word of mouth and knew that the facilities were old, so it was within the acceptable range at all. After all, the cost performance was good.
It was good that slippers were prepared.
There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, so I didn't have any trouble during my stay.
I didn't go to the rooftop bar, but the view looked good.
SSHAI 11One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Everything is excellent, from the location, the facilities, the rooms, the staff, to the breakfast, and above all, the highest level of service I've ever encountered. Highly recommended and I will undoubtedly return here on my next visit to Athens.
AAnonymous UserFantastic location, easily walkable to the main attractions and Syntagma Square for airport buses. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast was generous. We truly enjoyed our stay at Plaka Hotel.
AAlexandraI traveled to Athens for a business reason. The room was in the center, spacious near shops for coffee and food. It provides paid parking right next to it, so you don't have to look for a place. The service is amazing and the staff is very kind!! I would definitely choose it again!!!
KKDTINOThe Attalos Hotel is good with everything you need, reception is right at the front door with very helpful and friendly staff, the lifts are small, so only one person and your luggage at a time, but that’s ok. It has the most amazing rooftop with Athens’ best kept secret bar and view of the acropolis that you won’t ever forget. Rooms are good, (we stayed in 507 & 506), not too big, however Athens is old so it’s ok for what you need and I am picky. The bed is comfortable, the linen is clean and fresh towels, the bathroom is small but water is hot and water pressure perfect. Great location, just off a small street and so close to Monastiraki Square in Athens which is less than 100 meters away. Close to a supermarket, cafe’s everywhere (you have to get yourself a real Greek coffee- now that’s a caffeine hit you will need after travelling 😉) and there is amazing authentic Greek Food all around. I recommend Nikos Tavern just pass the church in the square and left up the alley. It one of the oldest, and I was there 32 years ago. You will see all the tables and chairs!! Attalos is walking distance to all the sights you need to see, like the acropolis and museums and train station are right nearby. I will definitely stay here again ever time I visit Athens on my way to the Peloponnese. What a great memory, Thanks guys!!
SSarah JanesThis place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example).
The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible.
Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log.
Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense.
Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.
TTAN1. Love it clean, quiet, quiant, side view of sea and port or small marina (can't tell at night because we checked in late night and left very early the next morning). But lovely. Wish had time to walk. 2. Clean room. 3. When we arrived and saw the dinner buffet which looked good, regretted not getting the half board. But we ordered from their restaurant a la carte menu and it was delicious! 4. One thing to improve is to cover the light on the aircon and the light on the TV, we could find no way to switch off the TV. We are light sleepers so the light which may not disturb others disturbed us a little bit but we put black tape over the TV but could not climb high up to aircon. 5. Too bad we did not have time to use gym or have breakfast there - another regret but front desk Evi helped arrange a breakfast bag for us to take away. If you're checking out early like us, ask for breakfast bags to take away and they gladly oblige. However, food in the breakfast bag is not as nice as having breakfast in the hotel :( I saw none of the items reviewers talked about but I told myself it is ok because they packed before breakfast hours. To get our money's worth, I must eat their breakfast in future.
TThv_teteFirst of all, the hotel staff are so nice incl. receptionists, breakfast lady, room attendants, etc. They all smile at you and greet you, very polite and helpful. We also booked 1 triple room for 3 adults but they gave us 2 double rooms with the same price of course although they had to move us to ground floor the 2nd day due to some electrical defaults in one of the rooms as it was newly renovated, which didnt bother us at all. We happily moved. Also free water bottles in the fridge included, all the necessary amenities were there, no kettle to boil water or cups for hot drinks were provided in the room but if you ask them, hot water provided at the hotel reception 24/7 also free tea, coffee and hot water for all guests provided from 3-9pm! Rooms were decent sized with comfy and clean beds, daily room service, breakfast was good and plenty and included in the room price, so cant complain! More hot food options would have been nice but it was continental which still was adequate. 5/5 stars
SStevenpilotI don't know why I see people giving negative reviews for only giving a bottle of water. In Europe, you generally drink tap water, and hotels also tell you that the water can be drank directly from the tap.
Except that the location of this hotel is not very central (but it is within walking distance to everything, including the subway station), everything else is good.
Rooms away from the street may not be very quiet, but they are still within the acceptable noise range. The air conditioner in the room is cooling normally and the wind noise is very small.
The supplies are complete, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, etc. Facilities and cleanliness are great, international standards. first rate service. Pillows come in two sizes, high and soft or hard and thin. Many star hotels have to ask housekeeping to deliver them. Very plus.
Overall, I paid $90 (including 10 euro city tax) for one night, which was a great value. The room itself has a value of $150-180. (As long as you are willing to walk an extra 10 minutes)
