🏖️ Panak Operated by Sono Hotel Review 🌅
1️⃣ Spacious and comfortable Superior Room - The Superior Room is 48㎡, twice the size of a regular room! It's a great place to travel with family with two beds.
2️⃣ Magnificent sunrise from the room - Every morning, a fantastic sunrise unfolds before your eyes! I was able to start my day comfortably watching the sunrise from my room. It was a truly special experience.
3️⃣ The charm of the rooftop pool - The magnificent view of the East Sea from the hotel's rooftop pool is truly spectacular! It feels really special to swim and watch the ocean.
4️⃣ Private pool villa - It was a great place to heal because there was a private pool villa. I want to visit again with my family in the pool villa next time!
5️⃣ Panoramic view - All rooms have an ocean view, so I was able to enjoy a really great view. It was a comfortable time filled with the blue of the ocean, unforgettable moments! #East Coast #Beach Hotel #Sunrise #Morning Scenery #Rooftop Pool #View Restaurant #Pool Villa #Private Relaxation #Panorama View #Resort #Family Travel
I stayed at the Gaya Hotel after visiting to see the New Year's sunrise. It was friendly, clean, and the surrounding facilities were nice. Above all, I had a great stay at a reasonable price.
Lahan Hotel had a great view of the East Sea and Pohang Space Walk and was very clean and well furnished. Shower amenities (shampoo, soap and body lotion) have a stronger scent than most hotels (tabacoo scented) and may be a hit or miss for travellers. Location was also convenient, with just a short walk to Yeongildae Beach and eateries along the beach street. Many buses also have routes along the Main Street which made it easy and convenient to explore Pohang. The reception staff were also very helpful and gave us helpful advice for our itinerary and plans based on their local knowledge (:
Impressive hotel next to the lake. While we booked a mountain view room, we were lucky to get a corner room which we could see the lake from the balcony. Service was good. The hotel has a huge and nice bookstore/cafe, and even a bowling facility.
Great location, excellent facilities, and incredible value for money! Three of us stayed here and we were genuinely satisfied. The room was spacious, and the bedding and pillows were so comfortable that we slept like babies. Having an E-Mart24 convenience store and Ediya Cafe connected to the hotel lobby was a huge bonus! My friends and I bought some snacks, took some fun four-cut photos, and ended up spending an hour just hanging out there, haha. The owner was super friendly too! There's also a Daiso and SPAO right next door, and we could easily walk to the central market. My friends and I all agreed it was an amazing place to stay! *Ahem*!
Good service, friendly staffs, clean room. Very satisfied over all. I was traveling Gyeongju, so the hotel was a bit far from the city. However it is located near the beautiful beach. I would stay here if I travel the city again!
Great location and the facilities are decent for the price. Lots of restaurants and food options nearby, plus a nice ocean view. There's a Starbucks right next door, so no worries about coffee. Breakfast was included during a promotional period, and it was a basic but good breakfast. The room was very clean.
First of all, the room was too dark. Even with the lighting adjusted, it was so dark that I couldn't see well at night. Additionally, the light switches and the placement of items were inconvenient. The shower stall, while aesthetically pleasing, was too difficult and cumbersome for older people to operate. The design seemed a bit flawed. The hotel lobby and public facilities were clean and spacious, which was nice.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserIts a pity that the upper floor rooms got occupied so we were assigned to lower floor and the room was facing n pretty close to a construction next to the hotel and so we were worrying abt the dust and noise and a bit disappointed with the ‘seaview’ outside the terrace… luckily the front desk lady offered us another room on the same floor facing the carpark instead so the sea is really just one car away and it feels so much better :] she even offer us to check the rooftop family that comes with jacuzzi but we didnt bring out swimsuits so its out of our consideration.
The room is huge and the view is superb, except 1. it d be better if theres a door/curtain for the toilet/bathroom area for privacy and also noise isolation; 2. The fridge and rubbish bin are a bit too small for a family-sized guests; 3. Lacking racks/hooks to hang clothes and towels when u shower, a bit inconvenient…
However everything else is awesome, they hv clothing disinfectant machine provided in the room, a giant size tv which is good for family, amenity kits come with most of the things u need including facial cleanser/toner/moisturiser. Theres a coffee machine and ice making machine at the lobby so u can het ur everyday coffee free. Also the public terrace on 10/f is super nice n chill with the sea view, its both nice both day n night, highly recommend!
There are tons of restaurants mostly grilled meat/seafood dishes in the neighbourhood as its right next to the famous beach where ppl comes here for the yeonglidae pavillion, which looks nice at night! Space walk is also nearby. The locals all do their morning exercise walk by strolling along the seashore bare feet! Theres a shoe rack storage and feet washing facilities provided so u can come enjoy bare-foot walking in empty hands and leave clean and dry!
Its a nice stay and i would recommend to others!
TtoeiiyoiiThe accommodation was great. It was clean and looked new. The lobby was decorated very cutely; I loved it.
Inside the room, the bed was a mattress type, but it was comfortable. However, the floor heater seemed a bit too hot.
The bathroom had separate wet and dry zones, which was very good.
GGuest UserThe hotel was overall okay for a short stay. The room was reasonably clean and had the basic amenities needed. The staff was polite and the check-in and check-out process was straightforward. While nothing stood out in particular, everything worked as expected. It is a suitable option if you are looking for a simple and practical place to stay.
LlawyerzThis place surpasses expectations. It's location is convenient as it's a direct bus line to/from the ktx station. Bus stop's 30 second away. The rooms are like what I'd expect in a very fancy, 4-5 star hotel wow what an unexpected treat. It's very nice, bright, massive tv (seriously big), huge room and even bigger bathroom with a bathtub.
The outlets have international outlets, they provide a rather fancy dyson-like hair dryer too.
Laundry is available at 1000krw/2000krw a load, hours apply 9am-9pm, and they will provide you laundry pods at the front desk.
There even a 24hrs CU convenience store next door.
Really enjoyed my short stay. Very comfy. Walking distance ~15 mins to the main street and tombs.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hostel and felt it had excellent value for money. The location, price, and cleanliness were all very good. It is very close to the bus terminal in Gyeongju, and I could reach the main streets within a few minutes on foot. Bus travel is very common in Gyeongju, so I especially liked how close it was not only to the terminal but also to bus stops going to the city center.
The building was very clean and full of stylish and creative details. I could really feel the owner’s personality and care in the design. The rooms were divided into small sections such as 4-bed rooms, so everything was easy to understand and comfortable. The room key used a touch system, and the beds were large enough. I even had plenty of space for my luggage at the foot of the bed.
The toilet and shower rooms were separated. The shower area was a shared shower room with several showers inside one large room. The changing area and entrance were together, so it could feel a little narrow when other guests were there, but everything was clean and functional.
I arrived earlier than check-in time, but I could leave my luggage there. I also received clear instructions about the password and security system, so I felt safe. Even after check-out, they kindly allowed me to leave my large luggage there for a while. Overall, I received very good service and had a great stay.

GGuest UserThe room service chicken was really delicious, and there was a sauna, so I could come back every day and relax in the sauna. The breakfast had a lot of options and the view was great, so overall it was a satisfactory hotel. I will come back again when I come to Gyeongju!
GGuest UserIt was my second time staying here. The hostel is walking distance from places like Daereungwon. Gyeongju Golden Street is also nearby with lots of restaurants. The hostel provides an electric blanket. There are indoor shoes to use, as well as separate slippers for the shower inside the bathroom. There was shampoo and bodywash, but no conditioner. It was self check-in, with names written on a note with a keycard and instructions. Other guests were also polite. The bedding was clean, smelled normal.
PPinky DerpsMy review would've been a lot better if there wasn't a promised breakfast. (A box with cup noodles on the floor under the microwave, in the reception area)
Most of what made my stay uncomfortable were other guests, they made a mess of the kitchen and during the weekend I actually felt unsafe with the yelling, banging on walls and running through the hallway.
The room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Towels were fluffy and bedding clean.
The coffee machine was empty but immediately refilled when I mentioned it. The cleaning staff did amazing cleaning up the mess in the kitchen every time!
Usually there was no staff at the front desk so some instructions on ”breakfast” and where to find staff (in the office next to the elevator) would've been nice, as well as where to find certain shared areas.
GGuest User1. If you take bus number 210 from Andong Station, you will arrive in about 30 minutes, and you can walk to Hahoe Village.
2. The meals are neat and decent.
3. The air is fresh, and the natural scenery is beautiful.
4. The building is stylish and gets plenty of sunlight.
5. The amenities provided are Nonfiction products, and the shower booth is well-installed, so water does not leak out, making it pleasant.
6. It is regrettable that there is a shortage of staff compared to the number of users.
