Celebration
The Fussa Firefly Festival is an annual event held in Fussa City, Tokyo, Japan, typically during the summer. Featuring firefly viewing, the festival attracts many tourists and locals alike to experience the beauty and wonder of nature. During the festival, in addition to firefly watching, there are usually various traditional performances, food stalls, and other entertainment activities, providing a great opportunity for families and friends to enjoy summer nights. The Fussa Firefly Festival not only showcases the charm of nature but also promotes community interaction and cultural exchange. This year marks the 61st Firefly Festival, with 500 fireflies released into the Firefly Park along the Tamagawa River. Besides the shimmering insects, there are street stalls, food kiosks, and various stage performances. The best time to view the fireflies is from 8 pm to 10 pm, but since the festival itself ends at 9 pm, it's best to arrive early.
