For a budget-friendly stay, this place is a total win. It’s perfect if you’re a simple traveler looking for a fair price. The location is great right by the tram and close to the sea, making it a breeze to get around. The place was a lifesaver for us, We had a 3-hour wait for our train in bad weather, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, letting us stay in the lounge long after checkout. Super chill, welcoming vibe and highly recommended for a practical, friendly spot near the city. A great, no-fuss choice!

The hostel is perfect for travelers in search of a fair accommodation at the heart of helsinki city centre. It’s quite strange though that receptionists and hostel staff are almost never present and the only appearances were the one of the cleaning maid. The result is that guests don’t really communicate or interact no matter the huge living room and sofas and the fact that they all have to share the kitchen amenities. What happens is that the level of tidiness and accountability for the usage of mugs, plates, cutlery depends on your luck and the guests who check in each and every day. By the last day we had partygoers stopping only for a night out and cans of pepsi and a bottle of vodka were left on the common table (not sure if it was a shy invite to indulge) while the sink and the dishwasher were crammed with badly rinsed stuff. It’s a pity cause the common showers, the toilets and the rooms were fairly clean, we simply expected the typical hostel experience where you manage to socialize a bit more thanks to the staff.
I spent a few nights in one of the shared dorm and found the stay fairly good overall. The dorm was tidy, and it was useful that each bunk had a power socket. There was also a spacious locker for each guest, operated with the room key. I came across comments raising concerns about locker security, so that may be worth keeping in mind.
There is a shared kitchen for guests to use. Having a supermarket directly below the hostel was very convenient, and public transport is close by, with a tram stop only a short walk away.
On the downside, the toilet had a very unpleasant smell, and the hostel is not especially close to the city centre.
Great places, only had one roommate super peaceful hostel, ferry was absolutely on time so make sure you schedule yourself for that otherwise it’s a solid 40 mins wait in winter.
I was worried about whether I could get into the room, but I was able to contact them using WhatsApp, which I installed in Japan. The room had a refrigerator, a water heater, cups, forks, etc. It was a convenient location.

Never been to other places in Finland. There is no comparison, so I can't judge, I can only say that this shop is the cheapest shop I can find that can walk to the train station. Dorm room is not bad. The toilet and shower are too tight. I only stayed one night, so it was OK. If you want to stay here for a long time in Helsinki, it won't feel too comfortable. But it is too expensive to book a hotel or bed and breakfast in Finland. So my fellow citizens, don't come to Northern Europe if you have no budget. The staff here is very nice btw. It's not cold, very enthusiastic.
The distance is very close. There is no self-service check-in. The environment is not bad. There are shared bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens. You need to bring your own ingredients. The price is high and it is only about 1.5 kilometers away from Vantaa Airport. It is very cost-effective for those who want to travel for a short time or transfer. It's like living in a semi-forest! The heater is not very warm and the temperature is a bit low. I don’t know if the cold spot will be higher!

CCosfilliThe lack of proper curtains meant little privacy in the evenings when you are visible from the street in all directions in the evenings. This also a stairs-only location and you have to lug your luggages up a spiral staircase which, if you have elderly persons with you as I did, isn't advisable. The toilet is extremely small and the sink area in the shower is also limited. Washing up was difficult. The catered breakfast was great. There isn't any dishwasher so washing up has to be done by hand.
Google Maps can lead you to the wrong place off a cliff in darkness so be careful!
