Guest UserIt was clean and safe. Bed is clean, shower is clean, common area is clean. Just a couple things: 1) wish the compound was smoke/cigarette-free (it was a middle aged local man who smoked in the area next to the pantry, looks like one of you idk); 2) don’t expect to go to bed early 😂 you can go to bed early but theres a bar below so you hear the music, and I was in the female dorm on level 1, lotsa noise coming from the floors above. However, people generally go quiet after, I think the bar closes? Which is 1am. Not sure, I went to bed around 10pm and was in and out of sleep. Overall the place is great.

JunhaologyThis cafe-cum-hostel is very community oriented; immediately when I did my check in process I was introduced to their WhatsApp group which will broadcast events they organised such as movie nights and city walkabouts. The staff also eagerly showed me around the hostel space as well as my assigned sleeping pod. Shoes are to be removed before entering the common hostel area which helps to improve cleanliness. I’m given a side entry sleeping pod so it is much easier for me to enter and leave my sleeping pod as well as to charge my devices. However, towels comes at an additional cost of RM 5, using the hostel’s laundry machines is an additional RM 18, and shower gels are not provided for, so please bring your own shower gels in advance. The shortfall is made up by having free flow drinkable water near the entrance of the hostel area as well as being its own cafe which I can have my breakfast at without leaving the building. Didn’t get to try the public bus nearby this hostel as my friend told me that I must wait under bus shelters to use their public buses which I didn’t see any during my short stay. However it is still accessible by walking from Ipoh railway station. Overall, I think this hostel is great for extroverts and backpackers.

Guest UserI stayed here for two nights. The hostel is located in Ipoh city center, about a ten-minute walk from the core attractions of Old Town (like Concubine Lane and the Clock Tower) and the food streets. The hostel building is a century-old house with English-style wrought iron gates and windows, colorful floor tiles, and wooden stairs that exude a rich sense of history. The rooms have wooden floors, and the beds and duvets are very clean. The facilities meet basic travel needs, including a washer-dryer combo and drying racks, as well as separate male and female shower areas. I particularly appreciated the warm and thoughtful service from the staff, especially the male owner who thoroughly explained the history of Ipoh's development, nearby tourist attractions, and local cuisine. In the morning, there are four free breakfast options to choose from. This hostel is highly recommended, and I would definitely choose to stay here again if I return to Ipoh.

Guest UserWe extended our stay, very spacious unit, very clean, excellent location. My children likes the place, very quiet for them to relax and just chill out. Will stay again when we visit next time.

C3line1. Excellent location
2. Clean and hygienic
3. Spacious and comfortable
This was my first time staying in such a spacious guesthouse. The location is excellent because it's close to the train station, the City Hall (a magnificent classical building from the British colonial era), Concubine Lane (Big/Second/Third Lane), and popular restaurants like Nam Heong Tea House, Sin Yuen Lung Tea House, Ding Feng Teochew Tofu Pudding, Lao Wong or An Kee Bean Sprout Chicken, Bentong Beef Brisket Noodle Shop, and Sin Wing Fai Bakery... I estimate it's a 5-20 minute walk to all the attractions I planned to visit.
The guesthouse opened in 2024, so the facilities are still new. The bedding is comfortable, with white sheets and thick towels. There are nine shared shower rooms for women, so you don't have to worry about sharing. There's a hot and cold water dispenser and a refrigerator... For backpackers looking to relax and travel, this is a very cost-effective guesthouse.
The staff are friendly and helpful, recommending nearby restaurants and even giving me earplugs, which I, as a heavy sleeper, didn't need at all. I originally planned to stay one night, but after experiencing it firsthand, I found it wasn't like the photos had misled me, so I extended my stay for two more nights to truly experience... the slow pace of life in Ipoh.

The facilities and the service in the hostel are good.
The room condition is subjective.
1. The damage is not fixed before opening for the next customer use. Not affect the use of the room but is a bad presentation.
2. The curtain rail rack for the lower bed is not concealed, with a screw expose could cause the upper bed user easily get cut which happen to my daughter.
3. When renovation works are off, there is no immediate cleaning of the common area cause the whole place dusty especially the floor. I think the cleaner did come in to mop the floor later.
4. The noise from the neighboring nightclub hopefully they can be off before 2 am.

The perfect place from which to explore Pangkor Island. Very comfortable and warm room. Plenty of electric sockets to charge my devices and work with my laptop. Great TV and really excellent hot shower, so easy to use. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfasts. I love the Nasi lemak. The hotel is very central within easy reach of shops, eating places and water sport . I will certainly be back. Hidden gem for breakfast and lunch in Pangkor Island.
Excellent food, lunch Rm15/person, abundant nasi goreng. Tested chicken today, which was excellent. Great chef and excellent price and quality ratio. Cosy restaurant facilities.

Guest UserHostel located in the heart of tourist spots. Famous eateries like Tuck Kee, Lou Wong are all walking distance. Superb location for an affordable price! Not to mention Suky was very helpful and attentive, she had reached out to me first on check-in details before I could ask her anything. The only down side of the hostel is probably the street noise. It doesn't really bother me anyway however those who need perfect silence to sleep will probably need ear plugs. Overall, I'm happy with the stay and will definitely come back again if I happen to visit Ipoh!

Motel with a rather large room facing the beach, you can hear the waves in the evening or early morning; it's wonderful. However, be careful; monkeys are present on the rooftops in the morning and make a lot of noise; you have to keep the windows closed. The beach is beautiful and almost empty, which is good for people who like peace and quiet.
The problem is that the staff isn't always present; the Duty Free store employees manage the rooms and handle check-ins.
You have to get around the island by taxi or motorbike; there's no Grab on the island.
