"Stay in the lowest price room for toilet bath shared
There is nothing amenities. There was a body soap from the shower room, so there would be only body soap.
Because of the off-season, there were few customers and the common space was clean."

FFluffyTotoroI arrived in Taupo on the morning Air NZ flight from AKL, upon arrival at the Chevron Motel, 4 hours before the published check-in time, I had planned to ask to have my luggage stored while I go about other business. The receptionist kindly asked me to wait while she checked to see if my room was ready, and if so, I could have my room right away. Lucky for me it was, I was very pleased with the initiative and flexibility offered. My booking included a living area with dining table, kitchen, sofa, spare single bed, a separate bedroom, and a dedicated parking space. My stay of 5 nights was very comfortable, and I will definitely use this motel again on my next visit. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvements, first - a split type AC unit was present in the living room, it would be great if there could be a second unit installed in the bedroom. Internet connectivity, available 24/7, while adequate, did have limited bandwidth affecting video streaming from Netflix/YouTube etc. Lastly, it would be great if the TV provided in the living room had a larger screen. In summary, I was very pleased with my stay at the Chevron Motel, the room offered great value for money, and I was completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay.
GGuest UserWe stayed as a family of 4 the rooms were emaculately clean, the beds were beautiful and very generous sizing, local milk in beauitful glass bottles connecting the local rural communiy was a great touch. All appliances were new and whisper quiet, which meant we all slept very well. Glenys gave us plenty of advice on where to take the children, local hot pools were a hit and the domain next door with playground gardens and basket ball courts for free family fun, the exploding geyser was great entertainment, very handy location to all the walking tracks up mt Te aroha, supermarket and shops easy walking distance from motel.
The service was second to none.
Rod and Glenys were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best stay.
We had car trouble, and they opened their garage and time to help us get back on the road forever grateful.Truely, beautiful caring people.
We will be back again soon and have told all our friends and family of our new favorite motel
NNurhayati NGreat location—right in the city, convenient for getting around, with everything you need nearby. The room was spacious and stayed warm during winter. Towels, full bathroom amenities, plus tea and milk were provided.
GGuest UserWhen l arrived at the Motel l found out that when l was doing the booking l should have taken note that there is no reception on site. When l rang the purported site the call was not a friendly one.I took an uber to collect the keys .And soon as l opened the door to my room which was room 9 l was discombobulated. It appeared no house keeping had been done prior to my moving in.The bins were all full of rubbish. The bedding had not been changed .Two McDonald’s empty drinks by the sink area. Two cups and a spoon in the sink see photos.I was then moved to room 7 which appeared to be clean but that inconvenience made me enraged😡
Jjjx1102The room is small but clean, especially the bathroom is very good and has plenty of hot water. Staying in Turangi is the TAC line that crosses Tongariro for one day, which is close to the parking lot at the end point. The enthusiastic and thoughtful host helped arrange a vehicle to take us to the starting point of the hike, allowing us to have a perfect one-day hike. Thank you very much, and we will stay here again when we have the opportunity. The landlord is a Chinese and has easy communication. He also hopes that more compatriots will come to climb the mountain.
Rreturn visitorA tiny motel, has basic amenities. Didn't know there's a communal kitchen until we were leaving.
It's a good stop over point, but most of the town closes either early or has long weekends, so make sure you have supplies beforehand. When we arrived there there was no reception, had a number and person to ring, the entrance is a bit tricky ”around the back”...yep that's exactly what it is.
GGuest UserHygate Motel offers a quiet and clean environment that made for a comfortable stay. The room was spacious and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities conveniently provided. The bed was especially comfortable, and the location was close to shops and cafes. There was also ample parking space, which made everything more convenient. Overall, a highly satisfying experience for the price.
GGuest UserSeriously impressed by this little inn: spacious living room; beautiful view of the lake (Room 15); bathroom with a hot tub; well-equipped kitchen with cooking facilities, plates, cutleries and even salt and pepper; one balcony attached to each bedroom; two TVs. Check-in and check-out were smooth and took less than a minute, with no questions asked. Better than many 5 star hotels in terms of the facilities and space one gets.
Possible improvements: spider webs can be removed from the balconies; a net can be installed so that insects don't crawl in when doors or Windows are opened.
YYUEBecause of the epidemic, the prices are so cheap. This time is suitable for going out. There are not many guests in the motel, so you don’t have to worry about disturbing others at night. The spa is very spacious and comfortable. I brought my own wine to the past. The overall feeling is very good. it is good
Ffemaleeeeestayed here because its essentially the only backpackers in hamilton.. The place really lacks privacy - there's no separation curtains on the beds in the room so feels very open, no separated bathroom- all in the same room, but at least the toilets have gendered signs on the doors.. would prefer more separation since the men's and women's are all next to eachother. Owner and/or cleaners would come into the rooms without knocking. My bed had the AC directly above it and it was kept on all night, quite drafty. Had a decent kitchen and community area, and good location though.
